I’m well north of you and I have nothing. Wasn’t even close for you. still mid 30s everywhere which means you had to be well north and west or have a heavy burst of snow (which explains the Long Island)

What a miserable freaking sub forum this has become. Even in extended BN conditions, the same few guys are an utter misery about a pattern change 3 weeks from now. our ski areas have been opened on Christmas. It just hasn’t been a great xmas week for years. We’ve had some good Decembers, but the last week of December has been brutal for skiing for a while around here. Something about that mega warm-up at the start of winter it’s almost like you could set your clock by it

Nice dusting on the ground last night and just around in a few spots this morning as I guess some rain washed it away afterwards. very elevation dependent: if you’re on top of a hill, you still have snow on the ground if you’re down by the river, no snow at all Good sign for the winter ahead. Nice way to start. For all you naysayers out there, you never write off snow from the third week of November onward. haha

Last week of Nov is absolutely snow climate. This week not so much. Forget thanksgiving, it moves around every year. Nov and March have strong cutoffs depending on week Last week of Nov…watch it

it wasn’t gone in Queens by the afternoon. I distinctly remember going home that night with snow on the ground. Late 80s But more recently, we had snow in the nearby Northwest suburbs on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, and I was at the parade with full snow falling and not sticking.

thanksgiving is very late this year. There’s no reason why from the last week of November onward it cant snow here. It’s not even unusual.

Back in mid 90s that area of Suffolk really burned off the William Floyd and 27. Lot more houses now in those woods…if it ever happened again, there would be lots of structural damage
