    Maybe it's the 8 yrs living in NC, or my standards just declined as I get older (see eating my kids scraps for dinner) but even just seeing flakes falling the weekend before Christmas would be enough for me.

    Looks like this is tracking towards landfall as the tide is coming in but luckily not at high tide which isn't until about 6am Thursday.

    Can't find the post, but a few people were discussing this and quickly came to realization there were no remaining traces of Helene in that aspect. Water was plenty warm.
