It appears the pivot will attempt to happen right over the metro area.

Parachutes at ORD currently.

Rip city in most of the metro now (Minus lake influenced areas).

Looks like we have a 981MB SLP in E IL currently.
So it most definitely will end up sub-980MB as it continues into IN/MI.

After wavering around the metro area for a while, the R/S line is finally crashing back southeastward.
Areas closer to the lake in E Lake and Cook Co's will still have to fight the lake influence for a while longer though.

Weird how Midway has had more than Rockford. Doesn't seem possible.
MDW was actually under better quality radar returns overnight.
Additionally, RFD has a long history of measurement issues.

Bozochardt has only 3-5” now for areas like Dekalb tomorrow. Kid is going to learn the hard way.
tell us how you really feel.

For those keeping score locally... The 0z Euro also shifted SE, and keeps most of the metro all snow.

No model handling this dryslot well right now I feel. It has really punched north and east. Models I feel never get a good handle on this. Looked like it was going to snow well into the night before but now looks to be ending early
Nearly all guidance had some sort of lull swinging through during the late night/early morning.

Had just started to snow when I left ORD at 10.
Got home a bit a go, and have solid SN here with fat aggregates falling.

Mega parachutes but not super thick rates is the best I can put it. Starting to whiten up the ground just a tad though.
Makes sense, it's starting to fill in on CC now.

In Plainfield atm. This hand that's about to pass overhead is going to rip
Bright band.
CC shows it’s a mix or rain.
