    if anything animals scamper back to their homes because they think night has fallen. people are scared of anything these days, if anything the animals will be looking at us and laughing inwardly.

    I don't take "droughts" in our part of the country very seriously, because we get way above normal rainfall every year. And 70 percent of the planet is covered by water.

    Don, Lee Goldberg showed a list of wind reports and the highest were up around 70 mph-- 68 mph at a few locations! and up to 4" of rain!

    MLB needs to make removable roofs mandatory for EVERY stadium. Rain outs and rain delays should be a thing of the past.

    cloud forecasts must be taken with a grain of salt, it's been sunny all afternoon today! Lee Goldberg just said Monday will be very similar to today!

    That's what I'm thinking too, and it really depends where in NY. Also, they can't even properly predicts cloud day of and today's sunny day is a perfect example of that. I just heard Lee Goldberg say that Monday will be very similar to today.

    It's possible, the cloud maps I just looked at showed a clear bubble over Western NY with clouds to the east over Syracuse... then again take everything with a grain of salt, it's been completely sunny for hours now-- no forecast had this!

    New England is better-- like Maine. Syracuse looks like it might be in doubt for this eclipse.

    even down by Syracuse the forecast is for 6 more inches of snow

    we'll be happy as long as there is sun. I'm serious about climate modification, we really need it now to stop endless rain. there's sun today so I don't trust any of these forecasts-- who predicted blue skies and sunshine for today?

    this map doesn't show rainfall .... without the sun warm temperatures are useless.

    it's bright and sunny here now with lots of blue skies lol-- so much for cloud cover forecasts, they can't even get it right on the same day!

    cloud cover forecasts are subject to change, even on the day of the eclipse. The sun came out here and I see lots of blue skies here today and there wasn't supposed to be any sun here until Sunday.

    Yeah I have a few cameras but this is my newest so I'm bringing it.

    it's a Panasonic FZ300 I selected it for 4K video as well as good telephoto (constant f/2.8 lens)

    during totality it's perfectly safe, but not during the partial phases. I bought this double filter system to take pictures, one filter blocks 99.999% of all visible light and the other one blocks all UV and all IR.
