    I like cold too, but wind is absolutely useless. I fully understand we need cold for snow but in no way shape or form do we need wind, it can go away and has.

    I knew December 1989 would pop in at some point. If we see very little snowfall this month and it stays cold it should be our #1 analog.

    I was so cranky for those early morning classes and always late. I told them no way no how you are getting me to come to school this early.

    see I blame the school for this, no self respecting school would begin that early. School should be from 9 am to 4 pm that's it.

    the snow is over there, it changed to freezing rain and sleet 14.5 inches in Arkansas

    reverting to the mean would be getting 25-30 inches of snow.

    I wish they'd update our *American* models to make them more reliable

    How do you have this giant slug of moisture that covers almost the entire nation north to south shrink so quickly? we shouldn't even need a coastal to get snow here, that northern storm should be enough

    You'll probably get them even when the weather gets a little warmer, those plowable snows are far more common where you live than they are down here

    The problem is models are based on mathematics not marketing, so they should be objective....

    Snowman is laughing at everyone but he doesn't understand most people are happy with just an inch or two of snow. We aren't skiiers or anything and we don't live in the mountains so why would we even care how much it snows as long as it snows?: 1 inch or 10 inches or 100 inches, snow is snow and no one really cares how much falls as long as it's snow. The best part about small snowfalls, you don't have to shovel ANYTHING.
