These last minute trends have been nice but a little surprising in my opinion, hope it continues. My original call for 3-4” here may be a bit conservative.
Looks like the hrrr might be trying to continue the trend east some, wouldn’t take much of a bump for more of N IL, IN to see a couple more inches atleast.
Models seem to be picking up on the Christmas miracle the euro was putting down a few days ago...doesn’t appear like it’d be much at all but it’d definitely be nice to see flakes flying on Christmas.
That’s what I was thinking, the system around the 2nd precedes it and kind of “sets the stage” for the second storm, much like what happened with this last storm. Interesting.
Friend I have whose dad works for IDOT said there was talk about closing parts of I-88 for a time if conditions continue deteriorating, not sure if they will but wow. That’s why you don’t drive in these conditions.
