  1. Remarkable that if the 12Z GFS is right, when the storm is over, north GA and Upstate of SC will have had more snow than mountain locales below 4,000 feet. Remarkable.
  2. Also, interesting fact that Hot Springs is a lower elevation than Marion, over in McDowell county.
  3. Interestingly enough, a few snow flakes have landed on the car here at the house. Not expecting that.
  4. I can’t even imagine how the Mid Atlantic board is right now. Scared to even look.
  5. Biggest flakes of the day, wow. May have spoke too soon about the flakes not being as big as Friday. To see any flakes fly from this system is a bonus up this way.
  6. I can see how those south cashed in. Not very impressive on radar but putting it down pretty good. Two snows in 7 days, I’ll take it.
  7. Usually being north of 40 is a good thing for us here, today, not so much.
  8. Nice little burst here right now. Definitely not the huge wet flakes we saw last Friday. More fine flakes.
  9. Went from sun to “snow” look in minutes. I think it will be easier to accumulate this time as it was 21 this morning.
  10. Had 4.30 since midnight at the house before I left about 2 hours ago. Just a shade over 5 inches for storm total. Muddy Creek was way out of its banks in Nebo and from what I heard, Catawba near Marion was getting close to the top near Riverbreeze (Dolphin Restaurant actually posted a pic).
  11. Can’t confirm but judging by the traffic I heard on the scanner from Spartanburg county EOC I wouldn’t be surprised.
  12. Sounds horrible there per radio traffic. Multiple cars with entrapped people at an apartment complex.
  13. That looks similar to last Friday’s event.. Euro said no flakes for anyone below 3,500 feet. Of course, euro corrected itself once snow was falling as far south as Easley SC lol
  14. 12Z NAM (the only accurate model for last Friday’s snow) looks very good at the end of its run.
  15. That was my favorite kind, stuck to everything, beautiful falling, and gone the next day. Perfect, IMO!
  16. Yes more precip would be ideal but the boundaries are below freezing as is.
