  1. If it’s starting as snow in Greenville, I’m confident it’s snow here. For sure.
  2. I can only imagine the scramble going on at GSP as they look out their window to it ripping snow.
  3. I think you see some for sure. That batch in Elbert GA is ticketed for you. Looks like snow already breaking out over the Saluda grade.
  4. 3k NAM with a warning shot. Minimal precip back into WNC. Significant East shift.
  5. NAM coming in about 3 degrees colder than its last run. 33 here at the height of precip and showing snow. HRRR is usually pretty torchy at 2m.
  6. Euro blanks the mtns, dusting to half inch out across escarpment and foothills.
  7. 925mb temps are actually better in the foothills than the high country, ironically enough.
  8. Ouch, 3k NAM says if you’re above 6,000 feet at Mt Mitchell you may see something measurable.
  9. Something to ponder. These are 925 temps during the height of the precip. Ironically enough, looks better just off the mtn.
  10. Interestingly enough it’s shifting the heaviest snow axis from northern highest mountains to the escarpment. I mean, I’m not complaining though.
  11. I totally agree. Definitely has a chance to catch folks off guard too. Meso high popping over VA seems to always deliver some nice things.
  12. Nothing like the GFS joining the qpf party at the 11th hour.
  13. Upslope enhancement? Sure seems like it!
  14. 18Z NAM has 2.5-3 inches of qpf here. Wow.
  15. Ouch. Lights out for weeks if this verifies in S NC and N. SC
  16. Well at least west of 77, appears a tick warmer east of there as the LP is a touch north.
  17. At 24 on euro, 850s colder everywhere.
  18. The footprint of where the heaviest accum will be is the same as the NAM it’s just about half the amount.
