  1. Marion Morganton Asheville and Boone was spot on. I know Woodlawn reported a inch.
  2. Yes I was thinking the same thing. As you mentioned, only saving grace is if we get some good wind blowing through here. I think that batch in some form makes it across the mtns too so that will add to it as well. Wouldn’t be too concerned if temps were only going to be around 30 but NWS says 22.
  3. That band may surprise WNC tonight. Really strengthening as it drops SE.
  4. Went over to heavy snow here a bit ago. If you get changed over soon, it’s on!
  5. Looks like it’s tryin to find snow globe Roxboro to max out.
  6. Crazy to look at that valley sometimes especially for those who don’t live around here. One of the driest places in WNC. Drive 25 mins either direction to find the wettest lol
  7. That French broad valley acts as a urban heat island a lot of times. Brutal.
  8. It looks like those flakes we got two weeks ago in Marion, pancakes. Good to see the radar filling in to our west and southwest.
  9. Fox Carolina doing a live shot in Hendersonville. Absolutely pouring the snow there.
  10. Let’s just keep in mind that this will be the biggest snow that 95% of folks (below 4,000 feet) on here have seen this year. Enjoy!
  11. I don’t think I’m buying a Lee side minimum with this storm. I have never seen one to my memory with a SW to NE fetch of moisture. Doesn’t make sense.
  12. Every storm rain and snow this year has overperformed why would this one not?
  13. This is early for them. It’s usually after the first flake is flying.
  14. GSP says WWA for area. Saying 1-3 in mtns with locally 4. 1-2 with locally 3 in foothills
  15. It finally caved. Wow what a nightmare for the euro and UK this storm.
  16. Slowly but surely that lee side minimum is disappearing. Like clockwork
  17. Wow there is a LP in south central Alabama this run of the NAM. Wow.
