  1. Wow even the 3k NAM coming on board. This is trending to a big event for mtns and foothills.
  2. Well speaking of the Euro, looks like it began its caving at 6Z. Snow for 40 corridor from TN through NC
  3. I hear ya, and in years gone by I’d have that same feeling. Just been a tough go here for the euro the past 12 months. Could be the pattern we are in that’s affecting its performance.
  4. With how poorly the euro has been here lately I’m not worried about it as I would have been a few years ago.
  5. Agree. Think we’ll see that catch up with tomorrow or tomorrow nights runs.
  6. This appears to be turning into a long duration event. Especially for an overrunning event.
  7. Gfs caving. Can’t say I’m shocked. Precip field much more expansive to the NW
  8. Well we knew the NW trend would come at some point. Hope it’s not too early.
  9. It’s good for entire state of NC. Maybe even upstate SC
  10. Much more north this run. It’s correcting itself before game time. I liked the euro for this area too. Much improved.
  11. With the way the rain system has trended north in the past 24 hours for tomorrow and Wednesday, this thing is right where the mtns and foothills want it.
  12. All you have to do is look at the rain event for this Tuesday/Wednesday and how it’s shifted north and west in last 24 hours. You want this south of your locale right now.
  13. Hard to blame them as many times as they’ve been burned by the euro lately.
  14. The 850 line seems to set up shop on 85 which would be climo.
  15. 18Z Euro is back to the party. The way every system has over performed here this year I don’t see any reason why this one would be any different.
  16. Yes crisp mid 40s day with a NE wind. Feels, dare I say, a bit winterish!
  17. Looks like the euro bias of holding back the energy in the SW is in play here. Shocker that euro is on an island again. Brutal year for the euro.
  18. That’s true. Now think about that, myrtle beach having more snow in the 2019/2020 winter than most mountain locales to date. Crazy.
  19. You may need to get on I-40 but climo says you’ll need to head west.
  20. Remarkable that if the 12Z GFS is right, when the storm is over, north GA and Upstate of SC will have had more snow than mountain locales below 4,000 feet. Remarkable.
  21. Also, interesting fact that Hot Springs is a lower elevation than Marion, over in McDowell county.
  22. Interestingly enough, a few snow flakes have landed on the car here at the house. Not expecting that.
  23. I can’t even imagine how the Mid Atlantic board is right now. Scared to even look.
