  1. Marion Morganton Asheville and Boone was spot on. I know Woodlawn reported a inch.
  2. Yes I was thinking the same thing. As you mentioned, only saving grace is if we get some good wind blowing through here. I think that batch in some form makes it across the mtns too so that will add to it as well. Wouldn’t be too concerned if temps were only going to be around 30 but NWS says 22.
  3. That band may surprise WNC tonight. Really strengthening as it drops SE.
  4. Crazy to look at that valley sometimes especially for those who don’t live around here. One of the driest places in WNC. Drive 25 mins either direction to find the wettest lol
  5. That French broad valley acts as a urban heat island a lot of times. Brutal.
  6. It looks like those flakes we got two weeks ago in Marion, pancakes. Good to see the radar filling in to our west and southwest.
  7. Fox Carolina doing a live shot in Hendersonville. Absolutely pouring the snow there.
  8. Let’s just keep in mind that this will be the biggest snow that 95% of folks (below 4,000 feet) on here have seen this year. Enjoy!
  9. This is early for them. It’s usually after the first flake is flying.
  10. GSP says WWA for area. Saying 1-3 in mtns with locally 4. 1-2 with locally 3 in foothills
  11. Had to turn Boyer off just hearing the intro to the newscast. It’s like he’s tracking a different storm.
  12. Yeah I’d also be leary of those snow maps snowing a minimum snow accumulations in the Lee. Radar reflectivity does not support that.
  13. As horrible as the euro has been and if it craps the bed on this one, anyone who mentions it as king or superior needs to be put in timeout.
  14. Maybe I’m wrong but this looks like especially on the NAM that it will be flowing in mostly from the SE to the NE
  15. Yeah usually it’s right over head but in this setup it looks to be East of here due to the orientation of the overrunning precip.
  16. Just east of here where we are may get affected by downsloping but with each run of the NAM and GFS even that is fading.
