  1. I've been having some fun reading the colonial accounts from David Ludlum's Weather Factor. Seems like there were many ratters even back then! 1620/1621 1629/1630 1644/1645 1646/1647 1752/1753 - 1755/1756 4 consecutive seasons! Also wanted to point out 1747/1748 looks like an absolute monster year I've never heard about: If anyone is interested it looks like its available free of charge online : https://books.google.com/books?id=JtC9BwAAQBAJ&printsec=frontcover&source=gbs_atb#v=onepage&q&f=false

  9. and April 82/87 speaking of which, over the years I've never heard much about that late April 87 storm .. anyone here experience that one? Just wouldn't expect 12"-18"+ over ORH county with this look:
  10. at the risk of cancelling next winter, I'm sure we all wouldn't mind a quick flip to La Niña leading to a nice spring and a hot/dry summer
  11. Just missed the meat of the squall by ORH, but still was a solid 5 min whiteout
  12. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-68228943 if the permafrost is on fire, probably would help with over the top heat potential
  13. Was kind of fun for a couple mins .. heaviest seemed to be delayed ~6-7 mins from best radar returns
  14. not sure if my eyes are playing tricks on me, but seems like a little rotation with that feature looping KBOX/KALB?
