Wonder if the 5pm NHC track stays the same?

It’s still 3 days away! This will change many times before it’s set in stone.

I noticed that too. That wnw direction hasn’t begun yet. I feel like the later that happens that there would be more west adjustments.

On this track just posted it looks like Henri should be taking on a west-wnw track soon. As of right now it’s still moving just south of west so i feel like the longer it takes to turn toward the north the more adjustments west are likely but that’s just amateur opinion.

In the discussion NHC mentions even with this dramatic shift west they still are on the eastern side of some consensus aids. So possibly more west shifts later

TVCN is way west which I believe NHC often uses for track guidance

Yeah that’s a safe guess when you take into consideration just how the odds are really stacked against us based on the history of near misses we have over many years.

It’s so hard to get a direct hit in New England so I’m a little skeptical but many of the models are trending west so watching it closely

Yeah he is way overdue to be right on hurricane landfall in New England. Lol

Gotta say if there is a landfall in SNE Bastardi called it. 06z GFS is beast by SNE standards.

I’ve heard that it’s a common thing to see on models when Hurricanes come north but that rarely does a left hook into New England happen in reality. We shall see what the later models show

The Mets here at Channel10 up’s there snow totals fir Providence from 2-5 inches to 5-8 inches.

What is the possibility of blizzard warning happening tomorrow?

Local Mets here in Rhode Island only forecasting 2-5 inches fir the Providence area. What a big freaking fail!

That would be a very weird angle of trajectory to go from the Outer Banks to the Great Lakes. Is this even possible? The Cat 4 strength I’m sure is way overdone.

I am still amazed every time I see the destruction of that tornado. Joplin has made an amazing recovery. Great video footage of before and after. Prayers continuing for you all..

Thanks for the update JoMo. Still amazing to me how much rebuilding has been done there. A true testament to the spirit of people living there and the thousands of volunteers.

Thanks for the update JoMo! The amazing stories continue in Joplin. These stories brought tears to my eyes. I guess miracles do happen. Keep the stories coming.

Ditto what Josh said. I've been following this whole story since we all were worried if JoMo was okay during the storm that day. I've continue to follow Jomo's thread here and it's truly amazing the progress Joplin has had since the tornado took part of that city off the map. Such a testament to that city and it's people for getting done what needed to be done even though it was so much easier to give in to despair with the overwhelming task they had at hand. I would love to visit someday because there are some truly remarkable people there. They should all be so very proud of the fine example they have established for how disaster recovery should be handled. Bravo Joplin!

JoMo, Thanks again for all your hard work with follow ups keeping us all informed of all the progress that is going on in Joplin. I still look at all those videos in amazement and keep all the people in Joplin in my prayers. I believe that had to be the #1 weather event in 2011. I know there were many other tragic tornados, but that Joplin tornado was a beast! Take care..
