    Just read the whole thread on James. He was obviously a much beloved member of this forum. Life is so hard sometimes but we must enjoy this storm thats’s coming in honor of James. It sounds like he would be going crazy with excitement right now. RIP James

    I really felt like the 12z GFS was the run that would change the east trends. Even though it ticked west it really has been so consistent with the track. Got to wonder if it’s right.

    I saw that too and commented awhile ago on it. Must not be a good model for winter storms

    How is the Canadian model for winter storms? It made a big move west with the track. Didn’t it recently get upgraded?

    RI met just now mentioned the east trends and stated if they continue even Ri would be taken out of the heavy snow accumulations. We’ll still have snow but not nearly what was anticipated earlier. This weather hobby is all too self punishing.

    If this storm does whiff it would be such a crazy model failure that they could be so wrong 3-4 days out. You would think we could count on some sort of consistency 3-4 days out from a potential threat

    We are in a good spot now but ultimately here in RI we always have to battle the rain/snow line and where it sets up. Might not have to worry about it with this storm but we’ve been burned so many times I just expect it to happen.

    Did the 6z GFS tic east? Just curious if the GFS has an east bias? I’m a little nervous the GFS keeps ticking east.
