    First CME imminent according to a text alert I just got.

    I got an alert that the first CME is about to hit within 30 minutes as of this post.

    I would say this is at least a few days behind. There are some trees peaking in the triangle now but the main peak has already faded and the winds have resulted in a lot of leaf drop now.

    One thing to note is even if the G number is high you need a negative Bz on top of that for a show. That won't be known until it hits. Negative is south which is what you need.

    I am hoping for a May 2024 type of event overnight and perhaps something good making it until after sunset tomorrow evening.

    It gets confusing as they use UTC but basically overnight tonight is a solid chance and then we will see if a daytime hit by the next one can hold on until dark tomorrow night.

    There was no way the 20's were happening with those winds.

    They had up to a half inch in northeastern NC overnight. I wonder if anyone will post a rare snowliage shot from out there.

    Yep there was definitely some accumulation out that way.

    Could see aurora this far south tonight with a cannibal CME arriving after two X flares. There was an X5 this morning which also produced a full halo CME so we will see how that factors in for another round in a day or two.

    I caught the snow in Moore County but no accums.

    I would not be surprised if there is a dusting on the grass in some spots near CLT.

    There are plenty of oaks for sure but this spot has a few maples.

    This morning in Raleigh's Historic Oakwood. Colors are real nice here this year.

    Ok so I am guessing nobody did. Certainly not when it was a stadium effect.

    I thought Josh got into some of it but he has not mentioned anything about it so not sure.

    Today clearly shows we are just about at peak around here. There may be a secondary peak as additional trees turn which I have seen here before but this is some of the better color we have had in a few years.
