  1. As long as it isn't 70+ degrees on Thanksgiving, it's a win.
  2. I purchased a Tempest last year and I'm rather happy with it. That being said: 1.) The haptic rain sensor is not reliable during very light or heavy precipitation. 2.) The wind seems to be under reporting.
  3. Amazing shot. Are these you COOP stations on your property? Do you know what happened to the Carroll Valley AWOS? They seem to not report anymore. Site R seems pretty hit or miss anymore too.
  4. Millersville University's winter forecast is out. Not great, not terrible.
  5. Agreed. Only M0.14" Reisterstown.
  6. ^yea that's an encouraging look at we move towards the middle and end of November
  7. Yea bad enough Halloween is on a Monday.
  8. Time sensitive, but check out the visible satellite loop over Delmarva. Looks like a solid wall of fog rolling east in a straight line.
  9. 35 for a Sunday morning low in Reisterstown, but it was 31 with heavy frost just a few miles west in Finksburg.
  10. My NWS installed thermometer for my COOP site reads 35 for the low, the Tempest at the bottom of the yard read 33. Either way a decent frost.
  11. Catoctin Mt. Orchard earlier this evening
  12. It feels amazing outside. This is the best the trees have looked color-wise since we moved down to Maryland in 2016.
  13. I'm just happy that, at this point in autumn, we're actually somewhat near climo and aren't torching into the 80s each day.
  14. I just want my garden to go to bed so I can plant my garlic and collards.
  15. Guess my fig tree is done tonight.
  16. Couple of big breaks in the clouds in Gaithersburg.
  17. This is a winter board. We tolerate 10 months to live for 2. Every year, we see winter slip away slowly. Then, when things get close, folks get jumpy if it looks the every diminishing window for snow looks to be a dud. It's an annual ritual.
  18. KDNN appears to be an AWOS III. Airport seems rather tiny for 40k ceilometer.
  19. I can share this. A slide from some of our internal data and preliminary research . This information is subject to change:
  20. We're aware of significant data gaps in northern Baltimore, Harford, Howard, Charles, and Kent counties. The Baltimore County gap is especially problematic for the I-83 corridor in the winter as I'm sure you're aware.
