    Snow commenced in Poplar Grove about 15 minutes ago. Road in my subdivision already covered. Usually very light traffic on my way to work, but expecting crappy conditions on my drive later this afternoon.

    Been a pretty steady snow here since about 10am. The only negative about this happening today is we have to travel a little bit for a surprise birthday dinner. But otherwise, let it snow!

    Looks like the trend will need to be the same yet again where February/March are the golden winter months for N/NE IL in terms of snowfall.

    Some flurry action in Poplar Grove. I’m surrounded by a few houses, but mainly open fields. The blowing & drifting should be solid.

    Well, GFS at 60hrs has 2.8 at ORD. So I’m wrong…for now.

    GFS starting now after a half hour delay. Guesses on over/under 2 inches of snow (10:1 map) at ORD? I’ll guess…under!

    That’s, uh, wow. This is like the Colts-Vikings game from Saturday. Everything’s looking great for Indy in the first half, but then Minnesota just winds up winning again.

    RC, please have Izzi save his write up & put it in a drawer. That way, he can break it out when something great comes along. Thundersnow, 1-2 feet, all those things that were fun to read.

    As long as winds are very strong & blowing snow will cause visibility to drop to 1/4 mile, there will be a Blizzard Warning even if only 1-2 inches.
