It would also be perfectly timed if it played out like it did on the GFS. Basically starts between midnight & 3am Thursday, ends around 10pm Thursday. Probably would be tricky for those traveling on the 23rd, but not as bad for the 24th/25th.
Jiminy Cricket; my wife & I have been in Poplar Grove for almost 3 years now & I’ve never really heard my sump pump kick on as much as it has over the last 12 hours (A little bit of rain has come in the basement but nothing standing from what I checked last night)
4.5 inches of rain yesterday & currently raining.
I’d love a good snow in Boone County before we hit March & it’s harder to come by as the season winds down.
Kind of a hard storm to properly prepare for in terms of sidewalks. Can’t really throw salt when it’s going to rain first, and there’s not really much time between rain & ice/snow changeover to do anything.
Was falling & blowing pretty hard around Poplar Grove & Harvard a little bit ago. Started spinning out & thankfully caught myself. Thank god for good brakes on an ‘06 Explorer.
If traveling, be safe.
