    Anyone else feel like fall colors have been especially vivid this year? Also seemed to come 2ish weeks earlier than ive seen in recent years. Of course this has actually been a fall with some actual cool/cold nights, so that might explain it.

    the roar/screech of the wind on that stream is unearthly. add in the occasional crash of debris and its straight nightmare fuel.

    Just stunning that we keep breaking records for SLP/winds, and storm after storm strengthening on landfall. Over and over again in the past few years. You begin to run out of superlatives.

    I know it hasnt been much for most of you, but this has been a decent storm down by the beach. Very strong winds last night, whistling through windows, etc, definitely a few gusts at or over 50. Not the best for sleeping. Lots of reports of flooding in the usual areas locally. Maybe not as bad as it could have been, but this counts as a solid nor Easter for us.     God, I just logged on to check up on things, and saw the banner at the top, and gasped. Your dad was one of the greats, and I am truly sorry to hear of his passing.
