  1. just remember- even if they're doom and gloom, as currently modeled, we still have a shot at it.
  2. we need @psuhoffman to come sing us words of wisdom...let it be....
  3. thank god you're here. please have your boyfriend hit him with his umbrella.
  4. it actually has happened before, several times as I'm aware. may not be common place, but its not unpreceded, for sure
  5. ok guys, back to the storm you've all convinced yourselves isn't happening.
  6. when the main thread is doom and gloom, you guys usually have a good shot. I think both our areas of the sub have a chance at this one, but i do hope there is not a continued east trend on modeling. I think we have until Thursday before there is a good consensus on this one.
  7. never before has someone flown onto my ignore list so quickly.
  8. Storms like this are the ones where it becomes very hard to try and figure out the overall feel for the storm rm, because the majority of folks live outside of the potential impact area. It seems to me at least, that even the "bad" or "whiff" scenarios still give most of the Delmarva accumulating snow, so I think we have that in our favor at least.
  9. I certainly wouldn't mind, but it would be nice for everyone to get hit, tbh. I'm not greedy, I just don't want rain while others get 2 feet.
  10. Thing looks like a fuckin hurricane on the CMC
  11. Well, the CMC is clearly on crack. But what I wouldn't give. That would be the largest snowstorm of my life, it would beat 2010
  12. I got a notification for this and clicked it and this was the first new post I saw after 2 hours, I was like WTF. Then I saw this, and well, you weren't wrong lol. Holy fucking shit. Not that it's ever gonna happen, but I think that would be a record breaker for most of the reporting stations in the area, and I think that would break the state snowfall record too. JFC that's a razor sharp gradient. A 20 minute drive would take you from 0" to 8-9"
  13. Just looked this one up, and the similarities at h5 are striking
  14. you didnt know that human civilization ends at the western shore of the Chesapeake?
  15. I'm assuming you didn't get 7 hours of cold rain then. we struggled to reach the low end of forecast snowfall ranges, which really hurt especially after the initial projections for it. so yeah, great inst the word is use. ok, maybe.
  16. this one definitely has the potential to be a forum divider in reverse of this weekend.
  17. when the main thread is doom and gloom even tho most guidance still shows accumulating snow over here is a good sign.
  18. maybe that's why I am scratching my head at the doom and gloom in here...
  19. Feeling good about where this part of the subforum sits. Will be interesting to see how model trends play out over the next few days.
  20. It does seem like eastern areas might be preferred at this range. yes I know everything can change at this lead.
