Been to two regular season Steelers games in my life, both in the Cowher era and both at Three Rivers. One was a 27-9 loss to the Bengals, the other was an overtime loss to the Eagles where they blew a 10 point lead in the closing minutes. Haven’t been since, except for a preseason game a few years back.

Been going every year since Heinz opened and we are the biggest jinx in sports history. It's comical - back in I think 2014, Tampa came to Heinz and beat the Steelers in the last minute. The Bucs finished 2-14 that year, yet won in Pittsburgh with their backup QB playing. THAT was a brutal loss. (and a VERY long drive back east to Lancaster)

Never saw a Steelers game at 3 Rivers, but I used to make weekend trips there to see the Buccos when i was younger. I'm not a Pirates fan but it was so easy to get great seats out there. :)

CMC and Icon bring the rains (heavy!) late weekend/early Monday but GFS is still wanting to lessen the chances.

Good news is...those are all pretty bad models on the verification charts I believe - one of them has to be right this time. :)

i broke down and turned the air on last night. daughter couldn't handle it.

Still looking like 90 Sunday. Good day for a Senators game and cold brew. If we keep these temps up, i may get in the pool memorial day weekend.

I miss going to City Island - when the boys were younger I had a 12 game plan. I think I've only been up once in the past 3-4 seasons.

By the way, we're going to the Detroit game in Pittsburgh. My son wants to have a better chance of seeing the Steelers win. :D

1.5 degrees away from 90 with 88.5 at the moment.  Yesterday we almost had a 40-degree diurnal with a low of 49 and a high of 88.  Low this morning was 56 so it keeps creeping up slowly.  Current dew point is 53 which keeps it bearable (outdoors) with temps close to 90.  I'd prefer about 10 degrees lower on both the dew point and the temp!B)

87 here now - going to be a close call in the run at 90. I'll disagree with you a little and state that I'd prefer it to be about 20 degrees lower. :)

Add the Icon to Heat Miser list for this weekend.  Will be interested to see if it gets to 75 at MDT on Sat (GFS and CMC) or 85 (EC) or Low 90's (Icon)

CTP going with full sun and 92 here this weekend. Nothing but Sunny/Mostly Sunny for as far out as they go.

I don't think he's cut for a NFL defender. No rationale reasons, just a hunch.

I dunno - we'll see. Your opinion is just as valid as any right now. I think if he devotes himself to this he's a Pro Bowler in the making, but we could have said that about a lot of players coming out of college.

I think if had played collegiately in Austin you'd be singing a different tune. :)

I have watched a lot of good ball over the years, but man he is spectacular. We have a young man on our HS team, Michael Morlaes is going high in the draft too. Because of him and Benny, the scouts have been living here all season. You don't get to many HS games where just about every major league team is in attendance. And not just regional scouts, their bosses boss is there :D i will mention that i have never seen so many people show up to watch a HS game, it was insane.

another local guy from my town was a pro bowler, TE from the jets, Mickey Shuler. doesn't get mentioned much but had a good career.

    Speaking of football -

I'm going to the Steelers-Bengals game this year. Last year was the first time I wasn't at least one Steelers home game since Heinz Field was built. It's going to feel great to be back in person this fall.

I figured America's Team had enough press already today.    I could think of a lot others but not sure any of them are in the spot light like the two Carlisle guys.  Donyell Marshall, Sean Mutto, Kyle Brady,  Marquise Colston.

Eh, throw Jon Witman in there as well.

Benny Montgomery.   Good to have some rep's for big time players from the area.  Still think Jeff Lebo and Billy Owens rank up with Shady McCoy as the most famous.  Chase Edmonds is up there.

Someday soon you'll be adding Micah Parsons to this list...

Off topic, but i know there are big baseball fans here. There is a kid from Redland who is going in the first round. saw him play our high school yesterday. I saw him make a play i have only ever seen in the pros and on ESPN highlight reels. a line drive shot in the 7-8 gap. Full out sprint, completely laid out to make the catch. saved 2 runs, ends inning and basically any chance we had.

I've been reading about him - he is one of the biggest "can't miss" players from our region in a long time.

I am just west of you so I get it first.   Trainingtime already pointed out that a week or two ago as he scored as well  You just missed your snow.  Planning your Florida trip or something :-)

It snowed everywhere that day except for that town east of Hershey...
