I dunno - if precip comes in early enough on Sunday, I wouldn't be surprised if there's a little sleet mixed in all the way down to the LSV. Don't know that I would expect it, but I could see it happening...

Should i risk it? 2.5 hr drive one way.
No - as a long time pass holder, the benefit of low crowds is erased when it's wet AND cold. Unless you're coming for a few hours early in the day, I wouldn't chance it.
Just my opinion. I like to go when I think most won't, but I've been there on enough miserable days to know when to say when.

WPC 5 day QPF - more north and west of the LSV. Honestly, these totals aren't as high as I what I expected them to look like:

Today was a stellar day - just returned from an amazing walk along the river. Now, to get some more rain...

I missed those @Bubbler86 stole them.
Really? I thought everyone saw some snow a couple of weeks ago. I had snow multiple times throughout the day...assumed that you had as well.

1st Os no hitter since July 13, 1991.
If I'm not mistaken, that was a 4-way combined no-no against the A's?

.44 is a gold mine compared to the barren late spring last year. I bet (nothing to bet just a phrase) you have 1.5" before Sunday.
I was thinking about that this morning. Things got a nice watering here which I'm grateful for.

Sun is making a return here:
- Monday, 5/3: .08"
- Tuesday, 5/4: .01" (fell right after midnight)
- Wednesday, 5/5: .35"
3 day total: .44"
Someone's always going to win, someone's always going to lose. I imagine most in this thread had more rain than I did. Probably for most, significantly so.
I was hoping for at least 1" from the 3 days - barring a miracle, I won't get close to that.
Onward!

Certainly appears that my cloudy skies should yield to some significant rain shortly though. Time to play catch up.

Just cloudy here. Picked up .18" of rain earlier. 3 day total is up to a whopping .27"

Not here, just now got some sun out.
The Historic District is cooking. Son just walked in from work and said it's oppressive out. I walked out...I concur.
Then again - 75 is pushing my limits.

Yea I looked at radar and thought it did not look all the great to our immediate west.
I don't see much of anything downstream that will make me wet later. Hopefully that changes after yesterday's colossal fail.

Been wall to wall sun here for hours - I'm at 86 right now.

...though storms over the south central mountains have all but fallen apart, LOL.

2 active tornado warnings in PA now (I imagine for the same line at the border of PBZ/CTP areas, one issued by PBZ and the other by CTP).
Yes, radar is lighting up with storms now. We'll see what happens as they progress east northeast...

My immediate neighbor 1/2 an acre to the south is under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch.
Stuff down in WV is already looking impressive - me thinks there's going to be some warnings coming soon in MD, and potentially PA a bit later.

Muggy here too. Doesn't look like today will be too Thunderstorm'ish like though. Just another rain storm tonight and tomorrow.
We shall see - looks like SPC upgraded us a bit. I think storms are almost a certainty in some areas. CTP mentioning possible TOR over SE portion of their area. (you and me)

sun is trying to break out. What are our chances for storms to fire later?
Full sun here - have to think as humid as it is that something might get going

A big .26" here, you may win the snow battle but I'll take the rain title haha
I spent a good part of the day yesterday in Columbia doing training - it rained off an on from 8-11am, but then there was a more steady, light rain from about 11 until I left at 2pm. By the time i got home it was bone dry and my wife was like "what rain?" - at that point the bucket had .01" and it rained just a little bit around supper and then mid-evening.

In fairness - I think maybe Canderson posted this earlier in the week, but our long-term average temperatures are increasing. And while I'm sure it's frustrating when it's cold and miserable in May, we also have many mild days in November and December. Aggregately, there is more warm than cold or otherwise our long term averages wouldn't be increasing.
As a cold weather nut - I'm with you on this. I was really enjoying the 60s and 70s and wish honestly we'd stay right there for another 5 months.
