Because he’s the best QB in history and still about the best in the league.
I was going to say - didn't he just win another SB?

i'd like to see us get him honestly/
For the life of me, I do not understand why more emphasis has not been placed on drafting a QB (legit one) for the past several years. I'd love to know what their plan is.

I don't think he's cut for a NFL defender. No rationale reasons, just a hunch.
I dunno - we'll see. Your opinion is just as valid as any right now. I think if he devotes himself to this he's a Pro Bowler in the making, but we could have said that about a lot of players coming out of college.
I think if had played collegiately in Austin you'd be singing a different tune.

Back end of the GFS looks like it’s trying to build a massive western ridge, I assume that eventually translates east.
Delayed but not denied?

I have watched a lot of good ball over the years, but man he is spectacular. We have a young man on our HS team, Michael Morlaes is going high in the draft too. Because of him and Benny, the scouts have been living here all season. You don't get to many HS games where just about every major league team is in attendance. And not just regional scouts, their bosses boss is there i will mention that i have never seen so many people show up to watch a HS game, it was insane.
another local guy from my town was a pro bowler, TE from the jets, Mickey Shuler. doesn't get mentioned much but had a good career.
Speaking of football -
I'm going to the Steelers-Bengals game this year. Last year was the first time I wasn't at least one Steelers home game since Heinz Field was built. It's going to feel great to be back in person this fall.

I figured America's Team had enough press already today. I could think of a lot others but not sure any of them are in the spot light like the two Carlisle guys. Donyell Marshall, Sean Mutto, Kyle Brady, Marquise Colston.
Eh, throw Jon Witman in there as well.

Benny Montgomery. Good to have some rep's for big time players from the area. Still think Jeff Lebo and Billy Owens rank up with Shady McCoy as the most famous. Chase Edmonds is up there.
Someday soon you'll be adding Micah Parsons to this list...

Off topic, but i know there are big baseball fans here. There is a kid from Redland who is going in the first round. saw him play our high school yesterday. I saw him make a play i have only ever seen in the pros and on ESPN highlight reels. a line drive shot in the 7-8 gap. Full out sprint, completely laid out to make the catch. saved 2 runs, ends inning and basically any chance we had.
I've been reading about him - he is one of the biggest "can't miss" players from our region in a long time.

It snowed everywhere that day except for that town east of Hershey...

WPC 7 day output looks paltry...maybe a quarter of an inch or so?

Nice 45 degree AM.
Euro backing down to the GFS, for now, in showing back door cooling limiting any coming heat to transient type.
How are rain chances looking?

One good thing about this week is the ultra comfortable night temps for at least the first few nights. Fans and windows open!
It is a gorgeous evening outside indeed!

We got to 70. Pretty much spot on what was progged (for once!)
Bingo - my point and click for today was 73.
Oops...just hit 74.

Partly sunny and 73. Not really close to 80 - and I'm not complaining.

GFS continues to depict the LSV getting into the top of the ring of fire and the "over the top" moisture feed next weekend. Acts to both keeps temps much lower than they could be (never hits 80 on the temp panels) and flows quite a bit of moisture this way with .75 to 1.25" LSV wide by this time next week. CMC moves the center of any heat wave west to the Ohio Valley.
If only...
Fog is burning off quickly now - we'll see how warm we get. I think we have an outside shot at 80 today...

46 with dense fog in the historic district this morning. I don't think visibility in my development was more than 200'.

Sweet easterly breeze supported 54 here right now. Radar estimated 3/4" of rain in some areas of York county. Probably overdone on the estimate.
55 here. Finished with .05" of rain.
Wife and I were walking in rural southern Lanco this afternoon and there were a couple of close lightning strikes down that way. Probably a little more rain in that area.

.03" here with a few drops remaining. I'll post an update if I receive anything additional.

Saw your post in the MA. My simple way to explain the whole situation is if a store says shoes and shirt required, you are expected to wear shoes and a shirt. Same for a mask.
Yep, as someone who is fully vaccinated, I am ready to lose mine forever. However, many businesses are and will continue requiring them and I have every intention of respecting their decision and will continue to wear mine where I need to.

It’s dry. I’ve thrown out more water than I ever have this early in the last 13 years I’ve been superintendent. Farmers are saying same thing, plowing fields and nothing but dust. I wouldn’t call it a drought but I don’t like the look going into June. You can’t judge by looking at your yard lol.
This.
I'd sort of expect this in July or August, but it's only the middle of May. If we don't get rain today things will really be drying out this coming week. With a potential heatwave looming...not good.
-
I deleted a post I made this afternoon - but anyway, driving around this afternoon and yards are starting to turn brown already. Not much hope for any measurable rain for the next week after tomorrow. Not calling drought but crops are going to need moisture. Soon.

You know what I hate? I hate it when you get a cold snap for 1-2 weeks and then you only get a few days of more average weather until you're hit with extreme heat. Those temps are looking godawful next week
Well the past week or two hasn't been a cold snap but definitely 5-10 degrees below average. And then boom we go 10-18 above average with no inbetween
Agree 100% on that!

An overachieving 76 already.
