  1. Today had some incredibly heavy rain, and it's impressive how long it lasted at times.
  2. You know I love the heat, but I can't argue with that. Always interesting, especially when it's more than a dusting.
  3. Beginning May 2015 we kicked off that incredible stretch that lasted into December 2015. Since then, Fall seems to have been extended and Winter has generally become backloaded (last year being a textbook example).
  4. Funny you bring that up. I actually had the windows up with no AC on yesterday driving on 287 because of the noise. A lot of times I go without AC when driving, unless I have passengers This weather for me, and probably like 3 other posters, is great.
  5. It was 48 earlier, but up to 50 now. Very chilly compared to just a couple days ago.
  6. Wow, that's a massive difference. Very warm start to September this year, similar to 2015.
  7. That's just absurd. The warmth we've had overnight this Summer is crazy.
  8. Really impressive heat, definitely exceeded my expectations.
  9. Today is brutally hot, and it's not even 11:00am yet.
  10. Ehhh, maybe in the Adirondacks or Catskills lol.
  11. Yeah that's impressive. Overall I think the sensor should be relocated to an area better suited for weather observations.
  12. Me too. Pool is nice and cool now. Definitely going to miss Summer, I like being outside whenever possible, and that's hard to do when it's cold and dark.
  13. Frost in extreme Northern NY and Vermont/New Hampshire during early September really isn't all that uncommon though. Some areas, like Lake Placid or Saranac Lake for example, have even seen 32F during the middle of Summer (July). https://www.weather.gov/btv/climoFreeze#adirondacks
  14. Yeah last night was a soaker. Been a very wet Summer indeed, and I agree about the lush vegetation. Back part of the yard would be a "jungle" if I didn't constantly keep up with the weed whacking. Like doncat said though, looks like we finally dry out over the next week and perhaps beyond.
  15. That's a massive batch of rain moving through. Tired of it at this point, but at least the next few days look a lot better.
  16. A small cell just passed over. Had some very heavy rain along with thunder and wind.
  17. Yep, and 2015 was a great example of that. Another humid morning here with mid-70's for Dewpoints.
  18. Definitely. One of the nicest things about September in general is that things begin to wind down, yet the weather is still great.
  19. It certainly does. I'm under one of those popcorn storms now and it's absolutely pouring. One of those days where the sun is out one minute and it's raining the next.
  20. Very familiar with that area as well. Crazy amounts of flooding there. Had very heavy rain here too, though certainly not as bad.
