  1. 5 straight days of rain, an entire work week!
  2. Alright, I see what you're saying. An April event would be interesting since we had an early storm this year.
  3. An F- lol, what was 11-12 or 97-98 then? I mean I totally agree that all the hype was a joke, but we did still get some cold shots and snow. Without the November and early March storms it would have been way worse, but I'd give this winter a C-.
  4. I care Rob Anyway, hoping for a drier spring and less humid summer. When is golf season?
  5. Aren't you kind of rooting for warmth at this point too though? We've had rainstorm after rainstorm, and when the cold finally comes in, we can't even manage a few inches of snow.
  6. Very true. As I said earlier, it's been so hard to get a true snowstorm this year.
  7. Yeah, we have a decent amount in the basement. Just way, way too much rain, and that glacier snowpack did not help anything either.
  8. 2.5" here as measured at 10:35 pm. Sleet is mixing in now as well.
  9. March 7. My area cashed in on some major rates. Best I've ever seen. January 2016 was an impressive storm here too.
  10. And then two years later in March 2018 we got this:
  11. I love the Christmas season and the music that goes with it.
  12. Definitely. Both explain weather phenomenon very well IMO. Speaking of leaf drop, my neighbors tree (which is almost entirely over our property) usually doesn't shed until after Thanksgiving, sometimes even into December. However, after last Friday's cold and wind combo, they dropped off faster than I've ever seen before. Most other trees around here are either completely bare, or if they do have leaves it is a mix of brown/dull colors. Really not much green left. Unlike last year, I waited to start raking until now, otherwise the leaves come right back.
  13. It's a shame, I hope radio doesn't die out. I like 101.1, 104.3, 103.7, and many others. Fun to listen to the various DJ's. But, as we see more and more, the human element of things is being replaced/removed.
  14. I like going by the criteria that makes it seem further away On the other hand, Summer starts on June 1st...
  15. It came on way too fast. If this was February I wouldn't mind. I'd gladly take 60s right now.
  16. Nah, the other night looked promising, but clouds ended up getting in the way. 34 is my lowest temp so far.
  17. It's a shame because we had very nice color here, but it didn't last long and a lot of trees thinned out early. Not bad though considering the rough start. Like I said in the interior forum, my first hard freeze usually comes in strong, and this year is no exception. Friday's low is forecasted to be 23° currently.
  18. Yeah, Spearfish has the most rapid temperature change ever recorded. In just two minutes it went from -4° to 45°. Loma, Montana has an incredible record as well, where it went from -54° to 49° in 24 hours. That's a 103° change! Can't forget Browning, Montana where it dropped from 44° to -56° in a day. Montana also holds the record for coldest temperature in the lower 48, which is -70° at Rogers Pass.
  19. Same thing happens to me Jim on my Android. Never get it on the iPad though.
  20. That was the year where the Boston area had that massive glacier in an empty lot (they trucked snow there from the metro because it was building up too much) that lasted into July. I posted about it awhile back. It was an incredible season for snow and cold.
  21. Monday night looks pretty cold for the metro, my forecast low is 36. Tuesday also looks seasonable, which is chilly compared to what we've been experiencing. This is only a blip in the pattern though. The weekend will be AN, with Sunday potentially making a run for 80 in spots. After the cool down it looks to warm back up as well, and the long range GFS (I know I know) seems to support this. As has been the trend since 2015, expect temps to over-perform and cold shots to be transient.
  22. Well the Dallas loss was a heartbreaker to say the least.
