  1. I agree @gravitylover. Tires make a world of difference. I daily drive my 5.0 Mustang lol (though she didn't have to deal with yesterday's conditions). As long as there's no heavy snow on the road, it goes out. However, I still want to look into a used F150. My neighbor has a lifted one, and man I don't think there's anything better. He can get through just about anything with it. A properly set up 4x4 can blow just about anything away IMO. Like you said though, even RWD is manageable if you have it set up right, though coming from my own experience, I'd feel a lot more comfortable in a nice 4WD truck (especially when roads are horrific like yesterday).
  2. See, my problem is that for my neck of the woods, everyone knew that we would be getting at least 3-5 inches. However, the preparation didn't reflect that at all. Even during the early afternoon before the heaviest stuff kicked in, local roads were atrocious. Not to mention it then snowed for hours on end without any snow removal efforts whatsoever.
  3. @rgwp96 7" here on the dot with an icy crust on top, we were forecast to get a few inches just a couple of days ago. Never went to rain, just sleet. Impressive storm for November 15th. Amazing how ill prepared this state was (the metro as a whole really). We've had far worse storms that were handled better.
  4. 26° currently. Very impressed at how cold of a storm this has been here.
  5. Sure does. 30+ dBZ slug moving through here soon.
  6. I have to see what rgwp says in the morning, but I must be near 3" now. Had some ripping downpours before.
  7. The colors here are absolutely amazing. The reds and yellows are really popping nicely, with some orange in there too.
  8. Even on days that are forecast to be sunny, we end up cloudy. Never seen so much gray and overcast, and the stats support that.
  9. We were dropping off pretty quick but then leveled out. Feels like November nonetheless.
  10. That's impressive. Seems like you radiate very well. I'd like to find a highly detailed topographic map of our town.
  11. Geez, you sound like Snow88 That was a bad storm for our area. I still have pictures of bright foliage with all that snow on the ground. Something you don't see often.
  12. It probably got colder, that was at 7:00am. Definitely feels like October.
  13. That first true Autumn night feels the same every year. Good weather for some HS Football. You can tell it's going to get chilly tonight...53° here.
  14. Yeah it's crazy how things swell up. Between the very windy conditions and low dews today, we'll start to dry things out a bit.
  15. To be honest, even I'm getting tired of the humidity, and I love the heat. Plus, like you said, we've had way too much rain and cloudiness around. Interestingly enough, all the doors in the house have slightly swelled. In fact, the hallway closet is really hard to open and close. However, I have to say, I wish we could get some nice Fall weather to transition us into the season. This upcoming week will be a bit of a shock, and some mid-60's with pure deep blue skies would be great.
  16. Oh it is. How far NW will it come though is the question that remains.
  17. We just can't get rid of this garbage. Everything is soaked.
  18. Feels like I wake up every morning to wet ground. Lost count of how many times it rained when it originally looked dry. Hoping the cool down brings dry weather with it.
  19. The warm minimums and high humidity have continued from Summer right into Fall. Looks like we get a cool shot starting next weekend. The question is, do we go back AN, or level out?
  20. This is one of the more interesting warm patterns we've had in Fall. Lot of warmth coupled with lots of clouds. Compare this to 2015, which to my recollection was much sunnier.
  21. Just closed it lol. Looks warm outside of a brief cool down for this Friday and Saturday.
