  1. Is that the recently deceased WinterWxLuvr at your front door?!? And what's that gray thing to the right of the stoop? It looks familiar but I can't quite place it.
  2. Before you go, make one last call for the mid-Atlantic Valentine's weekend blizzard.
  3. Shelter in place here at school for Tornado Warning. All the portable teachers had to bring kids inside. Hope that I don't lose my trailer.
  4. With an appointment, I was in and out in 20 minutes, but with an awful picture. Then I looked in the mirror and was like, "Yeah, that's pretty accurate."
  5. Gonna get windy. Dense fog here this morning.
  6. That’s terrible, but glad that it isn’t a head or chest injury. As others said, positive thoughts your way. Let me know if you need me to step in and moderate these fools.
  7. I know that you’re probably joking, but just in case, I just read an article a few days ago about how Jackson Hole is severely overcrowded as a result of the Ikon pass. No parking and super long lines for the trams. It would still be cool to go just for the record snow.
  8. Watching kids play hockey is awesome. By the way, kind of a leap into a different direction but the talk of kids in sports reminded me of something. After watching that NFL 100 commercial, I looked up the kid and his name is Bunchie Young. I found a few videos with him and he’s pretty incredible. Even cooler was this site I found, [No Days Off], that highlights young athletes. I’m sure those of you with kids aren’t surprised by the abilities of our youth, but there are some kids that are incredibly gifted. It’s worth checking out. eta: why was that so difficult?
  9. I’ll take a touch warmer for summer, and not quite as glacial in the winter, and I’ll add that this mythical place must have four seasons that align with the met seasons, except for winter which can begin on the day before Thanksgiving.
  10. I like your optimism, and if right, your sacrifice won’t go unnoticed.
  11. Two consecutive drives they did that
  12. I was in a cabin not too far from Chambersburg for the weekend. We had rain most of yesterday, but a few hours of light snow this morning was nice to see.
  13. I am not disagreeing with you, but it happens every winter.
  14. I’m horrified to admit that for the past 45 minutes I have been watching the movie Showgirls. There is a large multiple of two reasons of why I should be enjoying it, but it’s indescribably terrible.
  15. Caps got three very fortunate goals. And I can’t agree more regarding Tirico.
  16. Definitely. I might be going to the game Wednesday.
  17. All truth. Regarding the cold, dry 70’s, those were my impressionable years (for lack of a better word), and cold, dry was my normal. I loved winter before the ‘79 blizzard, but it’s my favorite storm. Afterwards, the newspaper headlines said that for the DC area it was a once in a lifetime storm, and I remember in the months afterwards thinking it kind of stunk that I was 16 and had seen the best winter storm of my life. Fortunately, newspapers back then were inaccurate too. We’ve had a decent run of big snow since then.
  18. Yeah, those were some lean years, and sucked for a teenager.
  19. Though, that might be because the low is further off the coast.
  20. I’m reading that one of Kobe’s daughters was on the helicopter with him. Really horrible.
