  1. Also when this massive blocking pattern finally falls apart we may get one of those massive overrunning storms!
  2. I always thought a SSWE took up to 5 weeks to affect us, then stay for up to 5 weeks. I believe the SSWE occurred the last week of December if I am not mistaken. If so through the end of the month looks about right. Hopefully we get demolished February then gave grillin weather for March.
  3. The snowfall distro is extremely tight considering track and low position.
  4. Shocked the precip shield is so narrow with the storm so close to the coast on the GEM. Have to think the NAM is a little more accurate WRT western extent.
  5. Amazing how thin that is considering it's right on the coast.
  6. It's odd how the GEM has the low that close to the coast but still has a very narrow heavy precip shield. Would imagine it would be more expansive to get our NW neighbors involved?
  7. I find the Kuchera maps to always be less accurate than 10 to 1 this year for whatever reason.
  8. 3k NAM moves a little east 12k moves a lot west. We will see if legit when the rest of the 12z sweet comes out.
  9. Would think that rise mid month would signal a potential large event.
  10. Thanks. Seems like the theme for the big 2 storms / this winter is tucked but still cold enough for 99% snow.
  11. 14.0 in Easton CT. First foot plus since the 13.5 received in the massive overrunning storm in I believe Feb 2014 (I keep forgetting that storm). 23.5 on the year. Only need 6.5 more to reach my areas 30 to 35 average range when I can say "only 6 below average winters this century!

  13. 1.35 acres partially wooded. My wife thinks that since we are on a slope the snow blows off somehow. It's odd cause in Norwalk it was always the opposite. Always the highest.
  14. Ha. Something is wrong with my property I told my dad I measured 14 and he laughed his a. Off. And he lives only 2.5 miles south of me.
  15. 14 now in Easton CT 1.5 miles north of boarder. As usual I have by FAR the lowest measurement.
