    Winter is cooked until January. Everybody enjoy the holidays and if the pattern changes it changes. Nothing you can do at this point. As of right now it doesn't look good for any sustained winter weather.

    I mean you're not wrong. The nation is just getting pounded by pacific air. We need the arctic air to show up or it's gonna be a long boring winter. It's only December but we need to start seeing signs now.

    Man we are prime location if global warming ramps up. We get plenty of moisture and if the temperatures increase we are looking at golf weather year round.

    It appears that tomorrow/Mondays event will be just a near miss for a decent shot of light snow. NAM 3k is just a little too far east. We need a clipper or something to get the mood better in this place. One thing with tomorrow is it did trend slightly west but we are running out of time for this to move enough west to get something. In fact the HRRR has moved west as well. See if this trend continues.

    18z gfs shows a nice paste bomb 9 days from now. Granted it probably will shift like crazy just nice seeing a threat. Also seems like the trend so far has been east just like Mondays mess.

    Yeah this has trended very poorly. Nam 3k has zero snow once it changes over. Even central PA is gonna miss out.

    Ehh pretty boring start to winter so far. Looks like some cold finally is getting pushed in but no signs of any significant snow in the coming weeks. The real question who will be the lucky poster to start our winter thread?

    At the bare minimum it would appear that we are entering a colder pattern. Let's establish the pattern and then see what happens with the snow.

    Sure I can't get snow in the middle of winter but we will somehow get a heavy snow storm on my birthday. Makes sense.

    Already a half inch of rain. We need this in winter. Seems like this storm in the winter would produce a solid event.

    Absolutely brutal and when I'm working I hate this weather. Try fighting a fire when it's this hot. Looks like Thursday is our next chance for rain/storms.

    I guess you'd call it luck that all the stronger storms have missed us the last 3 outbreaks. They either fizzled out or they missed us north or south. Pretty amazing actually.

    I mean you see the damage they cause. I remember seeing pictures I think 2 years ago of one hitting Wildwood country club. The damage was pretty intense.

    As always with severe that's fine with me. It's weird that there are people on the NWS facebook page who get upset about missing the severe stuff or that it didn't come together the way they wanted.
