Looks like the public cert is issued by Let's Encrypt, is valid and the server seems to be properly presenting the full certificate chain, so my guess is whatever machine he's on doesn't have the root CA cert "ISRG Root X1" installed properly in the local trusted root store... maybe a Linux box that needs to update ca-certificates or something...

GFS is giving Athens, GA 15" of 10:1 snow... their biggest snowfall on record was about 60% of that... (8.7" in 1983). The GooFuS is doing GooFuS things

I hear this kind of thinking a lot and don't doubt it because I don't think I've ever seen Kuchera verify here... my question is why don't the models correctly model this? In theory shouldn't Kuchera go below 10:1 in our area due to the factors you indicated? I feel like Kuchera is always higher than 10:1

The 24h period between noon tomorrow and noon Thurs looks like its going to be wild... 3k Nam has 2m temps going from 41 to 10. I'm expecting 3-4" on the ground and still coming down by the time I get up there and really hoping GFS is right. 18z Kuchera showed about a foot

my rule of thumb... once a day, pull up the EPS/GEFS and scroll to the end. If the total snow mean on both isn't at least 2 or 3", it isn't going to snow for a while. move on and do something else.
