    So, just to recap the 12z model suite at 120 hours: Euro -- Hilton Head, S.C. GFS -- Middlesboro, Kentucky CMC -- Charleston, WV HWRF -- Bowling Green, Ky HMON -- Dissipating, but last seen over Montgomery, Ala. Dear Lord, please bless the NHC forecasters .....

    12z HMON is faster and will make landfall, it appears, south of 6z position — looks to be Cape Fear (unless it stalls at hour 60). Almost to the coast Thursday afternoon!

    Ok, there’s the stall at 84 — actually backtracked a few miles. Man, the rain for eastern NC — unfathomable.

    GFS now on Euro line but not stalling quite as much — center near Lumberton at 78.

    Looks like a direct hit to Holden Beach then a move more westerly at 72 toward the SC/NC line.

    At 54 headed straight for Cape Fear.

    Wow — through 48 at least a 50-75 mile trend southwest vs 6z.

    Through 42 a pretty decent SW trend, esp this early in the run.

    I have an etiquette pet peeve -- people who see a great model run and feel they have to make some reference to the release of body fluids -- usually from a male reproductive organ. I know these references are figurative (or at least I pray they are, lest the true lack of a life of some posters be revealed) but they are still tired and unfunny and I would love to never read one again.
