  1. This isn’t a great segue from that, but hello from Paris. Flew out of Dulles last night and landed here 8 am local. Didn’t really sleep on plane so will be crashing as soon as can get into the hotel room. Visiting my youngest who is on a semester abroad here. 45 and rain. Doesn’t matter - walking around Paris in the rain is awesome. First time here (hell, first time in Europe). happy thanksgiving week to you all. Even the weird trolls. Well, not that snowman guy. was fun to read the upper air disco in the long range thread just now. More of that good news please and thank you.

  3. Gorgeous cold ( if that makes sense). Sky could not be clearer and the stars are brilliant. 31 already.
  4. Did you move up north of Buffalo to catch this band?
  5. yup. can count it for my hood to -at least -enough snow mixing in to be discernably snow.
  6. So if I read radar right downtown Buffalo and just north of there not really anything but just south of downtown absolutely snow obliterated.

  13. Lots of options in those areas but being drawn to an 80 acre farm 20 miles outside cooperstown I think.
  14. Empty nest for the Christmas holiday - thinking of heading north with the pup and the missus. Best chances for scenic snow in Dec 21 - 27 timeframe likely to be...upstate NY? Vermont? New Hampshire?
  15. Lunar eclipse visible under clear sky northern balt county.
  16. Really unreal. I mean, it's gorgeous. But also a little disquieting? Nevertheless, just after noon took a drive to Hampstead for BBQ, then up to Railroad, PA for a walk along the Heritage Rail Trail, and then back home to Monkton. Superb fall scenes on the drive. So many happy people on the rail trail. And the scenic York Railway Train went by, which was hella cool.
  17. yeah, what's up with that. My wife had one crawling on her and I found one dug in on my side. Feels late for that kind of activity...
