    12/7/23: T (maybe a T on 12/6/23 too but I was not home to see it/verify it) 12.11.23: .8" 1/6/24: T (two hours of winter storm watch - yay! - rapidly converted to winter weather advisory - still ok... - then -- a little sleet and snow and a LOT of rain...sigh) 1/14/24 - T 1/15/24 (a little into the early AM on 1/16 too) - 4" 1/19/24 - 3" 2/13/24 - .7" I guess - slushy hard to measure Season total - 8.5"

    Gonna be pretty - probably won’t accumulate much on roads around me in Monkton. Raised surfaces have a slushy quarter inch. Got to walk the dogs on the ncr trail in the falling snow - that was a win…

    Saw a Talking Heads cover band (Psycho Killers) at Union Craft and they were absolute fire. So damn good. If you ever get a chance to see them, grab it. Skilled jam band too. Unreal set and evening.

    WTAF - second time in two weeks I have pulled small, very live, very hopeful tick off my person. It is early effin' February. This is a terrible sign for the spring. Not been near cold enough to help even a little with cutting back on insects.

    I mean...it is pretty clear that all the other guidance made a major move to the GFS. Obviously them meeting in the middle even now wouldn't be great, but I don't see any reason to think this thing has no chance based on the 12z suite, looks to me like a good argument to be made that the GFS is leading the way.

    Right? It's five days away - given where we were 24 hours ago when everyone was dunking on the idea of the event/thread (and, with reason, really) - this is a delightful turn of events - been like 18 hours of being able to hope a little - and given that we are in a fallow tracking period - that's a fookin' great thing.

    On balance, it is a TON more fun to have one of the majors doing this five days from an event even if it is on an island - just fun to dream a bit - especially given that this is still the period before THE PERIOD OF INTEREST.
