  1. Could be. I just copied that from the contest thread. In any event, once DCA crossed the 2.3" threshold, this thread drifts away...
  2. As of 2/3/21: BWI: 6.0" DCA: 2.8" IAD: 8.1" And with that, we are safe to let this thread fall away until January 2022. Whatever else happens, this will not be a top five futility year.
  3. This is a bad example of kind of collective will it north attitude this board needs to have to make it a repeat of the 1/30/10 success.
  4. Thanks. Perfect training for the subsequent systems to know where to pummel as it turned out...
  5. Bah. (And probably). I just recall the modeling being so south for so many days up until gametime...
  6. Right? The collective glee that AM around 7:00 am when it became clear that it was well north of guidance and that glee building over the next few hours as it clearly came north and snow broke out all the way to just across the state line into PA was something I will not soon forget. And then, on top of it all, it was a damn fine snow event. I recall the old meterologist on WBAL TV (he's retired now, John ___) kinda throwing up his hands around 11 AM and saying it looked like seven plus inches was likely now. It was fantastic.
  7. There's no question about it. The will hasn't been there. In coach parlance, we just didn't want it bad enough.
  8. At long last, a snow shower pierces the dome of sadness in balt city. Good on you, brave little flakes.
  9. Rob Burnett ending Akili Smith's "career" and causing Bruce Coslet to quit kinda defense at I-695...
  10. You don't say... For two days, the snow trying to get in here has been my Bengals, and at I-695 the Ravens' 2000 D. It hasn't gone well.
  11. On January 30, 2010, the good people of EasternWx (RIP eastern) in the mid-atlantic forum, especially those in the richmond to DC to baltimore i-95 corridor, banded together and through sheer force of will yanked a storm that was modeled to stay suppressed and south to come just far enough north to give a 5 -9 inch cold powder plastering on Polar Bear Plunge Saturday morning. It was an amazing event, and happened only because of the collective weenie efforts of heroes on a board much like this one. Their effort in bringing that one home after what had been a long and barren period since 12/19/09 with no snow since the december blizzard, a period which caused Ji to lose his mind infinite times, was rewarded with not just that awesome snow, but a small event a few days later and then the back to back February blitzes on the 5th and 10th. To those veterans of that effort, we need to rally now, and bring this one north on Sunday, to our area and to glory, and to set up a HECS a few days later. As it was in 2010, so shall it be in 2021. The council has spoken.
  12. For sure -checked the loop and it looked like I got clipped and you all on the east side got hosed from that one too.
  13. Four inches Sunday - ended at 5:00. Nothing yesterday other than flurries and freezing drizzle and five minutes of snow at 4:25 pm. Picked up an inch in the pre-dawn hours this AM. At 6:30 am, it turned back off. It hasn't turned back on. Just hilarious and frustrating to see two days of obs from Bel Air, and Jarretsville, and Reiserstown, and down your way, and into DC etc, but to have the bubble of nada over Baltimore that refuses to fill in. It has almost literally been all around but not in the city.
  14. It was mostly joking, dude. It has been three days of missing snow. And NO SNOW is still an obs, right?
  15. The refusal to snow in Balt City keeps going and going. Been partly cloudy all day.
  16. It's impressive, our ability to shoo snow away. Worst protective bubble ever.
