  1. Hopefully for you, some good banding will develop on the western edge of the main precip shield. Plus, I’m sure you will make up some ground with good ratios. Also, you might get some good lake effect on the back end.
  2. We did not waste any time here with Virga here in Marysville. Light to moderate flakes( I mean rain drops...darn it!) started here within the last hour. All surfaces are covered and yes, the side roads have already caved! Is anyone else worried about drifting?
  3. Here is the 0z Euro. It takes the storm right up I-95 to Philly. The 2nd map is the total precip through Wednesday am.
  4. Happy hour delivered for @Itstrainingtime and @pasnownut You, me, @CarlislePaWx & @sauss06 are fringed this run!
  5. The bullseye on that Canadian run looks to be very close to the new rain capital of PA at the home of @Voyager !
  6. So, it looks like the Canadian even puts out ridiculous runs in the summer! The last bit of my snow just melted from all of the failed Canadian model runs from last Winter!
  7. This might be a first for me.... I am posting weather model maps that do not involve snow! Here is the 6z Euro for the tropical storm this week. The Euro tracks the low well inland into southern VA. Here is also the total precip through the end of this run at 90 hours.
  8. Good Saturday morning everyone. Here is the latest from the NHC on Isaias. This should be an interesting few days of tracking. Hopefully we get a good soaking rain from this one.
  9. Yes, many posters take that approach even before a winter event. Then, if a let down happens, they love to tell everyone “I told you so...!” I really get frustrated by those posts every year in the winter. Those posts are oftentimes based on nothing, but somehow they claim victory & rub it in the faces of those posters that tracked an event for 10 days!
  10. It looks like the Mid Atlantic 20-21 Winter preview thread already cancelled next season!
  11. Lol! One can only hope! We need our poster that lists the charts with the stats for us sometimes to look into this soon.
  12. Oh no!!! Local fresh Sweet Corn, especially from Lancaster County, is one of the few things that I look forward to every summer. When is the next good chance of showers to save our sweet corn?
  13. Before you know it, his drought watch will turn into a flood watch at this rate!
  14. Yes, it was a very nice evening after our late afternoon showers. We really needed that rain today. My grass seemed to green up a little this evening after the rain!
  15. This place is a lot of fun most days. Some of us that usually hibernate in the summer have been posting more recently, which adds to the enjoyment. Thanks to you & @Itstrainingtime ,along with a few others, that keep this place going all year round!
  16. No Winter can possibly be more disappointing than last year! We were due for a clunker of a Winter and the law of averages caught up with us in a historically terrible way! We can only improve over last year’s disaster!
  17. Congrats! We had a rumble or 2 of thunder and steady rain for about 20 minutes. Every little bit helps the yard & garden!
  18. I am thankful for the lower dew points and the occasional breeze today. The next time that we don’t get above 85 will feel like a cool snap!
  19. He has been getting all of the rain this summer! It would be nice if he would share some with @Bubbler86 & @Cashtown_Coop
  20. Thanks for the update, but no thanks to all of this Heat! I can’t wait until September. Only a little over 40 days to go!
  21. I agree, in certain times moving the goalposts can lead to a mess depending on the business or the situation. Should someone get a speeding ticket if they are going 56 mph in a 55 mph zone? In business, I certainly understand. If you are a salesperson, and your goal is to sell 100 items, but you only sold 99, then you had a decent month, but you did Not meet your goal. “Close” would not get you the bonus money that month. Here, we are merely talking about the weather and the message that needs sent in regard to perception of the forecast by the general public. I think that most people would rather be Advised or Warned if we are very “close” to the criteria of extreme heat, cold, snow or severe thunderstorm. If people see or hear “Advisory” or “Warning”, then they can make better decisions to protect their life or property.
