Good looking pattern showing on the 6z GEFS between day 10 & 15. Ridging out west and up top, with troughing in the east.

We have come a very long way with cutting into the + departure over the last 10 days thanks to the recent cold pattern. It will be tough to bring it down much more with the forecast temperatures through the end of the month.

The departure from normal at MDT is down to just +2.2 with 5 days to go.

Yet another below normal day yesterday at MDT with a -1 going in the books thanks to the below normal overnight low.

I would sign up for this 6z GEFS look for the December 5th to 10th period.

Lol, now we are going to track indoor temps…my goodness we really need a winter storm to track! My indoor temperature is exactly where it is most of the year…right at 70.

MDT departure from normal temperature for the month to date is down to +2.4 degrees.

MDT low looks to be 27 this morning. 6 straight days with lows in the 20s at MDT. That’s remarkable when considering the average low for today is 34 at MDT.

Lol, but you are running your A/C when literally no one else is in our region! I think that your A/C running as much as you claim would offset the heating costs of the rest of us. On a different note, I plan on doing my snow mow soon!

I think some of you guys on here really need to get a quote from a home insulation expert to try to improve your home heating & cooling systems. Lol, My A/C is not needed unless the temp gets over 70! You must enjoy wasting money by running your A/C when temperatures were in the 20s this morning!

The teleconnections on the EPS support the advertised pattern. -NAO, -EPO & -AO

I’ll take my chances with 2 out of the 3 reliable global ensembles showing a great looking pattern.

I’m not sure if you noticed the 0z GFS last night had some snow for us way out on December 7th. Only 14 days to go!

The good pattern on the ensembles that I posted doesn’t kick in until between day 10 & 15. Day 15 the EPS & GEFS both end looking really good, so the advertised pattern should continue beyond.
