  1. No worries...carry on. It has been a hot one...but the step down has begun.
  2. Great Snow, we go through this almost every year with you guys fretting over it not cooling off..... Relax, it's gonna cool off..it has this whole week pretty much. So it warms up towards the end of next week...it's only early October after all. You can worry about the pattern not changing...in my opinion it has changed already....we've been comfortable for the last two weeks already since the blazing heat of a couple weeks ago. So what if it averages a lil above normal for the months of October and November...there will be cool days mixed in..just like these last couple weeks...and every day that we move forward, climo is getting stronger on our side. We're stepping down slowly...
  3. I certainly do not know where all this torch Autumn and Winter talk is coming from? Last September Was very Warm....and I don not remember it having these cool days(like today, and Saturday and Sunday and Monday and Tuesday this week...and the nice cool weekend last week as well) mixed in with the warmth. It's for sure been a Blazing Hot summer and incredibly Humid....but it was Summer after all. And Autumn just arrived on Saturday night, and right on cue it cooled off very nicely. Sure we're gonna have some more warm days, but prolonged extreme heat....right through the Autumn, I'd be skeptical on that one. I'm not worrying about a torch for the entire Autumn and into the winter. Sure anything can happen for the winter season and we get skunked, but the signs are encouraging for at least an average winter at this juncture.
  4. Yup, it’ll make it even more exciting lol..not as much in between/dead time this winter between model runs.
  5. Wow, the radar is impressive with the rain that is on our doorstep again. The amounts forecasted for CT by various media outlets, have gone way up compared to where they were this morning. This is another heavy rain event on the way for the area.
  6. The same Eric Fisher that said just yesterday, that “October looking milder and milder as we get closer, and the southeast ridge won’t be denied”....that Eric Fisher??? Hmmmm, I guess he didn’t anticipate there could be a BD or two in the mix when he said that yesterday?? Interesting.
  7. Well I guess time will tell. If that happens then the modeling will have verified. I'm skeptical of Mid 80's next week for several days...but we'll see?? Modeling isn't always gospel Kev....
  8. There isn't going to be a torch like you were touting yesterday and the days prior....good luck with that lol. Going to be about 70 today and substantially less than that tomorrow. Saturday 70-75 and Sunday too. Any next week looking to be in the low 70's.... so beautiful weather with no beastly torches.
  9. I'll take 70-75 all month long in October, and lows around 50....perfect weather. As was mentioned back a few posts...nothing super torchy like some were touting yesterday and the few days prior. Tomorrow may not make it out of the 50's for a lot of spots...unless the sun comes out early enough in the afternoon.
  10. Lol Yup, bring on the Amazon and the Congo for our Autumns now....DIT has made the call!! Yesterday and Monday, and Sunday too felt like Early November out there...And tomorrow will be dry and beautiful when the front goes through overnight..but today is certainly Muggy to say the least. But hold on, cuz within 12 hours it'll be gone.
  11. Exactly this!! Very well put. And 80 degrees in Early October happens all the time in SNE...not a big deal. Won't last all that long either. We've had quite a few cool days already this month, despite the monster heat.
  12. I wouldn't necessarily lay my money on the GFS a week out.....just saying.
  13. I wouldn't hold my breath....I have a feeling anything that occurs will be very underwhelming
  14. Oh I wasn't questioning if it was or wasn't, just kind of felt bad that someone was picking apart his new place/location. It's all good.
  15. Lol way to rain on the guy's parade........
  16. Simple solution....you just don't evacuate. They can't make you leave. If I lived in Virginia with the forecast being what it is now...I'd just disregard the evacuation.
  17. Yes sir....if that persists...look out! She definitely has not behaved as predicted, does she have a few more surprises up her sleeve??? Perhaps??
  18. I agree Ray. the flooding will most likely be very major. Obviously if you’re in an area that gets drowned, Then This thing is gonna be a nightmare for those folks. The media just jumps the gun all the time...and who knows, maybe this thing does become a historic/lifetime event, but the degrading look right now is not what a once in a lifetime storm looks like...so I get why some are questioning some of the hype out there.
  19. The hyperbole needs to be in check on both sides of the spectrum....phrases like “storm of a lifetime” being thrown around in the media, is premature imo; and now “making landfall as a tropical storm,” is also very premature. these are the comments that come back to Bite when used prematurely. Bittom line...if it weakens to a cat 2, the whole storm of a lifetime is going to look ridiculous. Likewise, if this pulses up overnight into a beast again, then the DOA ideas too will look foolish. Let’s see where we stand tomorrow morning???
