Let me guess…it’s showing no spring(return to winter) after Friday’s gorgeous weather??? -

Ya but no kids in CT at least, go to school or come home in the dark currently. With DST all year round…every kid (H.S./Middle/Elementary) will be waiting for the bus in the dark during the winter time. That’s not a good thing..especially for the young kids. As Jerry said, we had this for a couple years in the 70’s here, and they did away with it due to this reason. One of my schools the kids(elementary) arrive(busses) at 8:15. Sun doesn’t come up her until 7:18(EST), that would be 8:18(DST) during the dead of winter. I couldn’t imagine these lil tots waiting for the bus, and coming in in the dark. That just isn’t natural. -

Sun is down about 8:30 in central CT on the longest days of the year…so it’s down at 8:45. -

Latest sunset is about 8:30 in central CT. But 8:45 it’s still very light…but not bright sun cuz the sun is down for 15 minutes already at 8:45. Definitely agree about the dark mornings…not gonna be good for Elementary kids. We tried this here in CT in the mid 70’s when I was in elementary school…it didn’t last long. As you said, Young kids waiting for the bus in the black darkness. And they did not adjust the school start/end times then either. I’m not a fan of this idea. -

January seemed pretty consistently cold to me. But ya, it wasn’t a good winter here…better out east obviously. Im thinking this winter has nothing left…everything(patterns and storms) seems to more often than not fail this season. Just one of those years. So gut feeling tells me it’s over now. That end of month/last week look will more than likely fall apart soon enough. That’s been the tenor this year. -

Same here. I don’t have to have deep pack, but a decent one is certainly nice. If it gets wiped, and we replenish quickly after that’s ok with me too. We had some good cold this winter, had some good lasting cold. We just couldn’t get the snow to work out. -

Nobody is denying that. That happens many times and in many seasons. Look at 2018…we reached 80 degrees in February, and then March was a beast for many…monster snow and deep cold…after a record breaking warm spell. Things fluctuate in SNE..it’s never wall to wall deep winter from December through March. The point is, you are a warminista period. You push and you spoon the warm looks in fantasy land guidance constantly. And Fine, be that guy. But don’t try to say your fair and balanced…cuz your not! And that’s the point here. You like to dig and poke. We got your number Tiger torch. -

I always expect average which is close to 50” here…if we make that I’m happy. We made that last year. Not this year though…at 35” for the season here. So significantly below average this year. -

That’s a blatant lie…but who really gives a crap. Most of us get your gig. And Most winters in SNE will feature a very mild to warm day or two during the 3 months of the season. That doesn’t mean winter is over every time. But go ahead and use phrases such as “deep winter” to hide the BS. -

I don’t keep pushing winter…you push warm and spring all year long. I’m reasonable and expect winter weather in winter. I don’t expect winter in spring or fall. That’s the difference between us. -

It always snows outside of winter. You know this. And as Will said, they want to know about if it might snow again. And it was pretty dam winter like Saturday and Saturday night and Sunday and Sunday night. And also last Wednesday and Thursday too. So just stop with the complete nonsense and you’re narrative. We all get it, it’s mid March and most all of us have spring on our minds too. So you can give your bullshit a break already. -

That was a great storm here…I’d take that in a minute. But this winter can’t put anything much together(outside of eastern areas), so count me out too. -

No picnic??? It was heavy sheet drizzle and rain that Saturday of memorial day weekend, and in the 40’s here. Absolutely Horrid! -

Lmao…c’mon. It’s all good. I’m actually Hoping we can go into spring and have some real nice weather. I’m ready to put this sub-par winter season behind us..and get ready for the next season. And hoping we fare better next winter here. -

I completely understand. And I agree with you. That caveat that its not a 0% chance is always a good thing to keep in mind though. That’s all I’m saying and thinking. And I know that you like to aggravate and fire up the masses(Anthony) so I also get that too. I’m just hoping that we can get more nice weather than Not going forward, but we all know that’s another tall order. -

Yes, I completely realize what he means. And my point was exactly what you just said…there could be another shot at some snow/wintry weather? So imo, then it’s truly not over if that happens. So by folks saying it’s over, that really isn’t all that accurate, if it actually snows again and accumulates. Im ready for spring…hope we get more spring like weather now than dogshit, so I hope he’s correct. -

Keep telling yourself that….maybe this time you’ll be right? I hope it is. But there will be plenty of misery mist and overcast damp and raw weather to come. That’s the shittyvoart.
