  1. Oh boy...here we go. Only 8 am and it’s changing over...
  2. If we flip this early..obviously that’s a good sign going forward. Wow, that’s good to hear. You got about 125 ft on me if that, so I should be seeing some flakes soon as well.
  3. Ya gonna be a nail biter for sure....hope we’re mixing by 10:30-11:00?
  4. Good post. If it’s not snowing by noon for us/you, the lower amounts will be the norm imo. As Walt said in his discussion, gotta lob off a big chunk on those accumulation maps due to ratios being so low. I’m thinking with your elevation you should pull 4-6”. If I can get 2-3” I’ll consider it a win for my area. So frustrating we don’t have a better airmass, cuz we’d all be in for an ass kicking in SNE..dam that stings.
  5. Yes, these temps are barf worthy everywhere in SNE. Dynamics better be good lol?
  6. Change over time will be the key for most of us here in CT, Especially west of the river. If we aren’t snow by 11-12 noon, it’s over here imo. Still 40 degrees here. NWS has 2-3 inches here...that’s reasonable imo. We’ll see what happens?
  7. Well, we’re gonna need a bomb if there’s any hope to turn this to snow, being there’s no cold air to be had.
  8. Oh ya I know where you are pal. That NAM clown buried us...but not buying that at all. I was gonna tell you yesterday that CTrain was Ryan, but figured you knew lol.
  9. Oh I’m not doing it...just looked at the map Ryan posted which buried me, and the weatherbell map was the same. Like I said...I’ll take half that and be surprised/pleased. Figuring 3 inches here at the moment.
  10. That NAM clown map has me at 15 inches lol..cut 50% off and I’d be happy.
  11. 45 here....we’re dropping like a rock...not lol. Hanrahan has 3-6” here. I hope he’s right? Tough call when there’s no cold air.
  12. Who thought we’d be talking about any snow with this thing...so ya never know? Sure Would be nice. Maybe this thing(tmrws system) can get out of the way a lil quicker?
  13. Ya..a 983 inside the BM, is a big hit for CT. So I agree with you CTvalleysnowman.
  14. You said you didn’t remember the last time it was this tough for modeling? I’m remembering a storm in March...I believe it was ‘18, where it couldn’t be pinned down the night of...it was supposed to be big, a foot plus, but Ryan was saying he had a bad feeling that it wouldn’t materialize, models were all over the place. and Kevin was insistent on the foot plus. Got maybe 1-2 inches at most overnight.
  15. He’s a Mid Atlantic transplant...what does he know? Lol
  16. Yup...I’m no MET whatsoever, but I thought it might have looked a little more tucked..?
  17. That map that Will posted of the Ukie...maybe I’m wrong, but that trough looked more negatively tilted to me as it’s coming off the coast in the mid Atlantic? Maybe be a bit west of 12z?
  18. Ya maybe so...I guess we’ll see. If it goes any further East at 0z, then ya we’re totally done for sure. Oh well, as you said this is the first legit threat of the winter season..so it’s fun to track.
