    Sorry about that…was looking at the color shading on the map only. And I didn’t see the 29” amount on the right. So in that case, no they did not. My mistake. But to me the crazy part is, western CT back in that friek event in August(where they were only forecast to get a half inch lol), would have made the top 3 on that Helene list.

    Western CT beat those totals back in mid August….but nonetheless that’s a crushing.

    If you look at the picture of the fence…that’s only about a foot high now(used to be 10ft you said), there looks to be an outdoor shower just outside the fence, and it’s only about a foot above the sand. Place is absolutely buried in sand….lol. Place could be an archaeological dig for god sakes.

    Gotta dig it out, and tear out the old pool as if starting from scratch…I’d imagine.

    That’s about what I had here too…it was a decent drink.

    Raining decently…not very heavy but a nice soaking rate for the vegetation. A needed drink.

    Yup…it’s dry until it isn’t. Bring on some rain.

    Let’s see how things look in about 3-3.5 weeks? If at that time the color is lousy, then we can say the foliage sucked this year. Until it peaks…the jury is out on how this year turns out. Last year it was muted until the last week or so before it peaked here, and then it came alive.

    I’d take that and be happy. Something to break the boredom and dry spell.

    I’m holding any judgement until we peak in later October. I Thought last year was gonna suck, and it rallied at the last minute, and gave a pretty nice color display. And we’ve had many nights in the 40’s here this September.

    Saw that coming…he hasn’t sounded well of late imo. I knew something was up.

    Central air the way to go…or mini splits also. The days of messing with window units have been long gone for me. Once you have Central…you’ll wonder how you ever went without it imo.

    I was thinking this exact thing yesterday….it won’t be much help for the upcoming winter being how horrible it is, and has been lately. It’s amazing how they ruined what was a stellar model. Sad.

    Love how some people insist that our personal real feel has adapted?? Mine hasn’t adapted/changed either. It is the same as it was when I was 10, as it is now at 56. This 2nd half of august and first 3 weeks of September have been perfect. Nothing like the last year or two. Those that aren’t raining enjoy the day…cloudy and 69 currently…feels nice.

    I hear ya. Obviously we’ve had much cooler mornings over the last month(mid 40’s quite a few times), but it’s not rising much today. And the breeze gives it an autumnal feel is what I mean.

    Feels like autumn here…neighbor just said that exact thing to me. I have to agree. It don’t feel like sumner that’s for sure.

    Yup…60’s feel like autumn…crisp and breezy. Maybe not where you are in the hot spots of NNE.
