  1. Lol…he doesn’t know. First week might be mild, then it’ll go the other way again. He always thinks 2012 is coming every year. He posts stuff like that just for fun and laughs…it’s funny shit.
  2. Lmao…just like Al Gore…when he said we wouldn’t see anymore snow anywhere in New England by 2015. And it just happened to be the snowiest in New England since we’ve been keeping records. Another moron that was spewing nonsense. And That ridiculous comment will be no different.
  3. Can we felt Ya he’s a complete troll…call the guy out on ridiculous banter like that all day.
  4. Yes, 100% agree. Oh well, let’s see how we do over the next 4-5 weeks before we close the book on this winter altogether. I have twice the snow currently this year, that I did for all of last year. So that’s one small consolation so far. I’m at about 50% of average currently.
  5. I mentioned this about the one yesterday happening before any good pattern set in, and it being gravy. It happened in a not so good pattern too. So now we are heading into a more conducive pattern…so maybe we can get another one to work out for the area….? And we’ve had a few epic patterns the last couple yrs, that didn’t produce Jack…so there’s that too as we’ve seen.
  6. Epic patterns are overrated. Looking sufficient is plenty good enough in Feb. Ill take my chances with sufficient anytime.
  7. And that’s what’s funny…even some folks here think because we get a couple/few nice days in late feb/early March, that we’re off to the races with spring. That’s just downright comical. New England springs suck more than they don’t suck. Be careful what you wish for.
  8. Agreed. Let’s see how the next/last month of winter plays out.
  9. Is this a weather board….or the 1700’s with all this talk of Duals? WTF? Put the trolls on Ignore, and it doesn’t matter. I wish I took that advice years ago. It’s awesome.
  10. That would be nice…add to a thick pack here. Cold deep winter feeling morning here with fresh snow cover, and a breeze that was adding to the feel.
  11. 15-16 I remember the County getting totally wiped out in the beginning of presidents week, with a warm monster Rainer, that took em down to grass. They recovered a couple weeks later, and I went up and got a decent trip in actually on March 5th. But that was my only trip that winter. So it sucked that year too.
  12. I finished last year with almost the same amount as you(12.3”). I knew I’d break last years disaster season here(made the call in November..which wasn’t hard when I average 50”), and I did with yesterdays 12.5” snow. So I’m up to 23.5” on the season. Still a Rat season so far, but “doubling” last years final total is of some consolation. I did call for average snow this season here, that’s probably not gonna happen, unless we land a whopper(which is possible), but even if we can get a couple 3-6”ers it would be out of Rat territory as far as total accumulation goes here. But if we whiff for the next month, it’s a rat, but a little better rat than last season was.
  13. Yup, that thought definitely crossed my mind too. I84 corridor got rocked today through CT, and they seemed like they kind of dropped the ball when not upgrading by 6:00am, as everything was setting up to crush all morning for the next 6 hours. Then they kind of try to mute the big totals from their map of that said area, so as not to attract attention to the big amounts that were under a WWA.
  14. Yup. That’s a good place too. Kind of like saying you want 100 plus everyday in the summer, and being upset that it doesn’t happen here in SNE. So you Need to move to a place like Dallas, or phoenix etc…
  15. I suppose that could happen..it’s certainly possible. But we can also say the milder look in 15-16 days at the end of the month, can have something happen to ruin that look as well. It could go both ways at this lead time…no?
  16. Gotta move out of New England Ice. Maybe Quebec? Or the northern Rockies? Or Extreme N. Maine? Your wish of a wire to wire winter is pretty unrealistic. 95-96 was close…but we had a huge thaw in January that incredible winter too.
  17. Some folks think because it’s 3/1…that it magically changes to 60-65 degrees with bright sunshine, and light winds. Silly preconceived notions…especially in New England.
  18. They didn’t even upgrade back to WSWarning as we ponded and pounded. 12.5” under a WWA….Pretty weak imo.
  19. Ya..I don’t necessarily agree there. But to each their own. Some monster snowstorms in March in SNE over the years and decades. March can deliver the goods. And it can also deliver gorgeous days too..flip a coin and it can change on you like a fickle beotch. Gotta be careful with her. Especially when you’re in mid Feb still.
  20. Well to be honest…it’s probably better at this point that it doesn’t. I like when they come out later on, as we move along. Those seem to work out a little more often when they pop at shorter leads.
  21. Yes, this is a great point. I think that many envision mild sunny days in the 60’s, and dry stretches when they think of Morch being above normal, and winter being over Lol…that’s almost always never the case. Sure it’ll be above normal, but more likely just as you explained. Which really sucks.
  22. That’s certainly fair enough. But sometimes just because one doesn’t see it, doesn’t mean it’s not a viable potential. I realize today didn’t work out for a lot of folks, but the storm that many saw not working out early last week,(in fact a-lot of the same talk was being spoken as right now) has delivered 12-18 for some, and 5-10 for alot of others. So the needle did get threaded, and this was thought of as gravy(if it ever worked out) before this next more viable window that is approaching. So perhaps some of the upcoming next potential, hasn’t completely and fully revealed itself just yet… just saying.
