  1. Even if it’s only half as wet as it has been(this summer), for this upcoming winter…that would be fine.
  2. Didn’t Don(WxWatcher) show that yesterday?
  3. Steady rain here…And that big heavy batch isn’t here yet…but it’s closing in. That should push me up over 2”
  4. Big rain coming in from the west…more to come. Foliage season hasnt even begun. Get it together Kev.
  5. Fall is fine here…maybe in that concrete jungle it’s warm all fall, but not here. Mild and sunny is fine here as we progress through late September, to cool and crisp as October fades into November.
  6. Ya…DST won’t be a full year thing. And that’s good. As others have mentioned, it will be the super late sunrises that will kill that idea. Elementary kids going to school in the dark in the winter isn’t gonna fly these days. I remember it as a kid one year we tried it…it never happened again.
  7. I can understand some people hating the dark get up, dark commute to work, and then the dark commute home as well, in the late fall and dead of winter. My girlfriend absolutely hates that. As an elementary school teacher, even the shortest days and longest nights are still done in daylight for me.(not that it would matter if it weren’t for me). But I can understand the dislike/struggle by some.
  8. It won’t be abolished. But for me, I’d be more upset if the standard time was abolished. I realize everyone is different, but I enjoy the early sunsets when they are here. As well as the later sunrises.
  9. Going back to the loss of daylight…I realize it bothers a lot folks, even the ones who supposedly like/live winter. And I obviously don’t deny the idea that folks change as we get older. But the loss of daylight never bothered me…nor does it now in my early to mid 50’s. And to go a little further, it wouldn’t bother me at all if there wasn’t the possibility/likelihood of snow coming either. The early darkness regardless of winter weather is relaxing to me…even when it happens at 4:19 pm. The late sunsets actually are a little irritating to me after a while. Glad we’re losing time fast now. I know that’s not what most people like, but that’s just me.
  10. And even the NAM falls into line…a nice big drink tomorrow it looks like. Well we need it…….….said nobody ever.
  11. A disappointment….didn’t hold its strength all to well as we thought. Storm had about one day that was somewhat memorable…then it went downhill, and never recovered.
  12. Last season (the foliage)was spectacular here…a few years before that it was gorgeous too. Some years it isn’t as vivid, some it is. Lots of factors play in to that equation each year. I remember a few years back…it was so dry, it was predicted to be a horrible foliage year. But then in September we got some soaking rains, and that’s all it took for the trees to respond, and it ended up being a spectacular fall foliage year, despite the dire predictions due to the very dry summer.
  13. Ya saw that coming for a while…too far east in the end for you guys too. A yawner as is most(obviously not all) of the tropical up this way. Someday we’ll get a good one again, but for now the wait goes on.
  14. As long as it snows good this coming winter…who gives a F*ck! But that’s just me. It’ll look good again next fall.
  15. That’s because that dingbat with the pink hair was more concerned with showing her disdain for the USA, than doing her job.
  16. It’ll be lower intensity wise than expected by the time it gets to our latitude, and lower still by the time it gets to Down East Maine and N.S. Imo. She’s falling apart fast.
  17. This thing is falling apart faster than the Giants did Sunday night. Looks like trash.
