    Lol last year you said we needed an El Niño. A couple days back you’re saying we need a La Niña. Now it’s +PDO. Too dam funny. It’s just zero fortune most times. Although you got lucky Saturday, and CT and the Cape killed it 6 days ago. So there’s that. Nuances as they say….they haven’t been in our corner much the last couple years(save for last Tuesday and Saturday).

    There’s nothing telling except it’s a shit winter. They happen. Sometimes back to back too. Unfortunate and lousy, but we will recover in future winters. At least it was more than twice as good here so far as last year, but I realize that doesn’t apply to a lot of areas. And It still isn’t anything good here, but small victories is all we have at this point.

    Absolutely. While modeling has been less than stellar in some instances, when you’re tracking something from 10 plus days out..it’s gonna be all over the place.

    No scratchers…have never had them on any sled. Usually 99% of the time I’ve never needed them in the county. I’m Studded so that helps out some the rare times it may be needed up there.

    Kev, they suck more then they don’t. Last year sucked outside of the warm beautiful week of Easter week. After that it was shit.

    Ya I hear that too. But it’s tough when it doesn’t last but a day or two, and we’re back to misery mist and 43 degrees too.

    Better meaning some real nice sustained spring weather. We aren’t gonna get that for quite a long time …especially since we are on Feb 18th currently, that is a pretty sure bet. Don’t need a crystal ball for that. You want to continue to make long range forecasts…that’s great Ray. I didn’t single you out. And I didn’t mean you in particular either when I said they shouldn’t. But most all the time, they don’t usually work out all too well. Just an opinion and there was no malicious intent.

    For the pro forecasting world sure. Hobbyists that spend so much time and effort, and have families and full time jobs and other responsibilities etc etc… I don’t see the point. But it’s a free country still, so knock yourselves out by all means.
