Let Western NC have some snow in October….bring the first synoptic event for us in mid November. I like that better. I don’t need snow in October.

But It is not meh here though..that’s the point. Maybe meh where he is, and you are, but not out west here. The color is really amplifying now. As Hippy just said, peak is gonna be this next week. And maybe some areas aren’t as good as others, but I would think that happens most years. We have lots of oranges, reds and yellows really coming out now.

Yup…we tried to tell ‘em that it would turn out very nice for a vast majority in SNE. You just had to wait and let the color come, and mature/peak like it is currently.

Yup. It’s great over here west of the river. I mean maybe it sucks where Kevin lives? If so, then maybe that’s what he means. But it doesn’t suck West of Hartford that’s for sure.

Must be dull where Kev is. And if it is, then maybe that’s why he’s saying it’s dull? But it isn’t dull here at all. And John Paul didn’t think so either. It’s a very good year here foliage wise…and we have a few more days I’d say before we at real peak.

I honestly don’t know what you’re seeing. I gotta be honest Kev, it’s excellent in my town here, and getting better every day. Maybe it sucks in other places? But here in the big valley of Southington, we have tons of color. it’s beautiful. Maybe we have more red and orange maples than a lot of places?

Looks real nice. I’m cooler than you, at 49 currently. But you’ll bottom out colder for sure in your hollow there.

Foliage is really ramping up for sure…despite what some say, it’s really looking great. We’ll be peak by this weekend, and it’s gorgeous. Yes, it’s earlier than the last few years. We’ve had much cooler nights this September and October, I think that’s helped it along.

I work indoors, so always warm. Just traveling to my other school, it was cold without the sun out.

Losing the sun…downright chilly out there now, 48 degrees.

37 here driving to work….3rd morning in the 30’s, with a few more to come. The warm up over the weekend will be very nice. Autumn weather at its best this year.

I’m like you…clouds and cool and damp days don’t bother me one bit. I like the sun too, but fine when it’s not out either. Long nights and short days I enjoy. Again, we are in the vast minority, but that’s fine with me.

I clicked mine on this morning for the first time…64 in here was it for me, so on it went. Just to get the chill out. 68 in here now, and that’s much better, and fine for October.

Dam…53 here was about all we could muster. Cloudy all day with sprinkles. Then a period of steady rain at about 6 pm.

This is what we want to see…snow starting to show up up in the highlands frequently now. Great picture.
