  1. That’s always a possibility. But that was an extreme case. Hoping that doesn’t happen this go around. We also had a foot of concrete fall here that destroyed everything that October 2011 too…so that ain’t happening this go around either. Different year and set up.
  2. Yes, the fog here was very dense(100 yards if that). Starting to lift some now and temp starting to rise-57 degrees.
  3. That’s my thought too. Keep this going another 6 weeks, then let’s flip it.
  4. For sure. We don’t need any semblance of winter now. Let Alaska/northern and NW Canada have it, and build up the snowcover there for now. We’ll get our turn.
  5. Agreed. Let the vortex go over Alaska in October and November, and keep it mild here. I’d rather that than in mid/late December, or January.
  6. Visibility down to about 100 yards.
  7. Boston is a little far..Worcester is much better for us CT guys. Kind of a middle ground for a lot of us. But that’s just my take.
  8. I have to agree with your explanations..it’s poor where he is. But as you said in other areas it’s excellent.
  9. Anyhow, On a different note, Any get together planned this year?
  10. We are starting to get a slight tad past peak, but overall That’s total BS for here in my area. Been a very good year for foliage here. I’ll go at it with you on that until the end. Some areas may not be good, but that doesn’t apply for plainville/southington/Cheshire at all. End of story.
  11. Yes, and that’s fine…I have no issues with saying that. I’m going below 80 for Halloween. That’s my call. If it hits 80 here next Thursday, I’ll gladly say I was incorrect.
  12. Perhaps? But it’s been a great fall. We’ve had it all so far….beautiful crisp days, frosty and frozen nights, sun for days on end, gorgeous foliage, and now big beautiful warmth. And Who doesn’t want it all? Stellar autumn.
  13. We’ll see? Maybe? Euro ain’t to great anymore so…but low 70’s is beautiful.
  14. There was talk that it would be 80 plus on Halloween yesterday. But I’ll take low 70’s in a second…that’s ideal. Again with the weakened sun angle it has a really nice feel.
  15. Lol…it gets warm in October sometimes pal. It won’t be 80 tomorrow or the next day, or the day after that. Hope the two days didn’t overwhelm you.
  16. What a September and October. Can’t beat it.
  17. I like the lower sun angle feel when it’s warm out like this. Great feel.
  18. Koala bears are lethal? Ya…I hear ya, that place has some odd stuff running around. I guess that’s what happens when you’re an island continent.
  19. Your place is really extreme there lol….it’s like a full blown dessert. I’m at 80-81 here, it feels great imo.
  20. That’s exactly how we look at this, and we enjoy it. It’s outstanding to say the least.
  21. Ya Isias was decent here too…you guys got it a lot worse then inland up here, but it gusted into the 60’s here. Caused alot of power outages here in CT…most ever I think. Imagine what a good bonafide Cat 2 would do though…
  22. There was so much BS with that(hybrid etc), who the hell knows. I guess my point was it wasn’t a Hurricane. But we’re due for something like a bonafide Cane at some point in the not to distant future.
  23. I realized that, but they were Tropical storms, and he said hurricanes. Sandy wasn’t classified tropical, so that’s why I left them out.
  24. Lol…when was the last bonafide Cane for SNE? 1991 with Bob, and 1985 with Gloria. I wouldn’t be too worried. And folks in here want exciting weather, and well, that’s exciting. But it’s extremely low chance. But again at some point, something will give.
