  1. Yes, the foliage is rallying here too. Starting to pop quite nicely in many spots…while certainty not a banner year by any means, we might have spoken a little too soon. Nature trying hard to make it decent, as is the case in autumn more often than not. It surely won’t be as bad as we first anticipated it to be.
  2. I’m in the “leaning above” on that arbitrary NOAA map. I’m “leaning” we do much better than last year in the snow department. So there’s that.
  3. We’ve had so many mornings in the low to mid 40’s here I lost count. We’ve had more rain too than places further north and east of late, and thus cooler temps as a result. Saturday afternoon it was steady rain and 51 degrees..hardly a torch. Many days in the upper 50’s to low 60’s for highs.
  4. It’s the trolling. Can’t stomach it. It hasn’t been that warm here lately, and it hasn’t been overly cold either…just mundane average autumn weather in a nutshell. BWT3650 hit the nail on the head. And I have no issues with folks saying what they’ve been seeing in their area. So don’t think that. But if folks from Jersey are gonna tell me how warm it’s gonna be in November, on October 19th…and how that somehow equates to a sub par winter, and all the other nonsense BS, I’m gonna push back.
  5. As I said yesterday, or the day before…there will always be a worry. Can’t get too hung up on the worries, or the positives, in any one upcoming winter season imo. There can always be something to offset anything positive, or negative for that matter. Im ready to roll the dice on this upcoming winter…I got a very high chance of doing much better than last year(won’t take much lol). So it’s a good feeling imo.
  6. No, no, it can’t be…it’s just warm all the time man. I just had a guy from Jersey tell me Im in denial, and don’t realize how warm its going to be……
  7. Good post. Maybe we need to start bumping some posts from a week-10 days ago? I mean, cuz now/this period, and Halloween was supposed to be a very warm(or the beloved word “torch”) as was being touted by some. We’ll have a few more mild days no doubt, and that’s good because it feels great this time of year. I think a good portion of SNE will frost early next week(hopefully so we can get that out of the way, so we don’t have the incessant moaning about it). And then a nice lil warm up end of next week. A very nice autumn set up.
  8. WTF are you talking about? And except for two weeks ago it’s been pleasantly cool here. And first frost will probably be here Tuesday. No denial here. I’m completely fine with how the temps are going…I don’t live in the Ukon Territories, it’s not supposed to be cold in mid October here. Maybe you’ll reach 80 next week. We won’t. Keep living in your CC everything dilution. None of this has any bearing on the upcoming winter. None.
  9. How do you figure out how old those tress/logs are that are laying on the wall?
  10. What is the significance of this…in late October? The fact that the split PV comes to our side of the globe?
  11. Lots of Beer? But ya, he’s not right all too often. And makes tons of grammatical mistakes all the time…he called autumn 2020, autumn 2002 lol.
  12. Seriously Doubt it(forecast high for tomorrow is 65-66 here). But if we do it’ll be very short lived.
  13. Lol…folks just being funny and stirring the pot, trying to spur conversation, nothing more. All these outlets obviously have their own ideas…just like last year, doesn’t mean any are correct lol.
  14. We won’t be seeing mid 80’s that’s for sure. Maybe..maybe 70, and that’s the end of next week. Last week some thought we’d be seeing 70 or over for the end of this current week, and that isn’t going to materialize. So let’s see how this next warmer potential looks by Monday?
  15. First week of October…mid 80’s John. That was summers last gasp. That early September wave was a scorcher…best of the summer season, and right at the end. But that was still technically summer obviously.
  16. Always. But it hasn’t been real warm either. So I mean it’s just been autumn in SNE. Except for the first week(which was very warm-mid 80’s, the last blast of summer as Dendrite mentioned), it’s been cool to mild at times. Nice weather during the work weeks lol.
