  1. Ok maybe we gave it too much credit to soon lol….from a tenth of an inch at 6z, to an inch and half plus here at 12z…in one run….that’s a pretty big dam jump. It multiplied its output by a factor of 15 times.
  2. Goofus beating the euro more all the time…my how times have changed.
  3. It’s all good bro. Maybe it’ll be a lousy year for the leaves. We’ll know for sure in a couple more weeks. Sometimes it can surprise us as we approach peak. All the rain may throw it off this year though…
  4. Depends what matters to you too. As was mentioned before about nobody really caring if it’s .75-1” or 3” with regard to rain…it’s still a rainy damp weekend. And the controversy yesterday and Thursday was about maybe it being dry today, and being able to salvage the weekend. Sure the modeling performance matters…but it matters more for us when it’s snow, and as silly as it sounds, it’s true. But I understand your point Luke, and it does look like, at least today the modeling that showed less accumulation of rain, is more correct. But that may not be the case tomorrow into Monday.
  5. It’s gonna rain S of the pike…I think that’s the biggest takeaway, and has been for the last couple days. Whether it’s an inch, or 3+ is the bigger question. But wet is wet.
  6. Dam, I hope not lol. Let’s hope we get some decent winter storms this year as Don just eluded to…where we can pretty much all participate in the fun. I certainly don’t need to jack…but we want to be included in the game.
  7. South of the pike it’s rainy…that’s a given I believe. North, flip a coin.
  8. Those just suck anyway…so vague and pathetic. They should be ashamed of themselves even releasing that stuff.
  9. Exactly…I completely understand their silly maps. And I agree 100%.
  10. Correct. As I always say, weather has its own sense of irony many times. as you eluded to, the Euro will nail this…2.5-3.0 months from now it’ll shat the bed.
  11. Absolutely. And that’s our point. Nobody cares if it’s 1 or 2 or a half inch…it doesn’t really matter as you said. Weekend is shot.
  12. In the real sense of it, I agree. You’re not gonna be doing yard work or hanging outside on your patio, or eating outside at your favorite pub/restaurant. Ya you won’t flood with a half to 3/4 of an inch, but the sensible weather still sucks. If it was snow, and you’re talking 3-6”, vs 18-24”+, then sure that’s a huge difference in that regard. But this is rain, and wet is wet.
  13. Ya…you’ll probably stay dry. Not the case here.
  14. Not gonna make a huge difference unless it’s dry…and that GFS isn’t dry for CT.
  15. Shocker. When aren’t they above? That doesn’t bother me at all. I’ll take my chances. Last year was the worst, no way we beat(get worse)than last years rat here…no way.
  16. GFS is almost 4” here, Euro is about 2”…either way it’s a good soaker according to those two models.
  17. Ya that’s our Trump card this year…sub tropical jet can deliver the goods. Just need seasonable cold nothing brutal.
  18. Ya I think it’s coming with this one…the rain that is.
  19. Ya poor guy is just hoping for anything that shows lil to no rain…but as he likes to say, it ain’t happening James.
  20. That doesn’t seem to happen when it’s a rain event…now if this was December 21, you can bet it’d get sheared out and ground up like Hamburg, and NYC down into Jersey would get 18-24.
  21. Ya that’s still 1.25-1.50 hear on the meh NAM …I guess that’s meh now. And as you said it’s raw and damp…it sucks. He’s been very despondent lately…he’ll be a bear this rainy weekend with the kids all cooped up.
