  1. We take. And It’s got just as much chance, as anything we’ve seen the last few times things looked good, and nothing came of those. So who knows what that specific look might do. It’ll morph better or worse the next week or so anyway. But then again we all know this too.
  2. Oh no doubt, We’ve been in a lousy stretch snd I’m with you for sure. As I said…you’d think at some point soon, the law of averages has to come knocking eventually. We due for something to break right. Even in the paltry 80’s, which I was a teenager from ‘81 on, so I remember well…we’d get a bone thrown to us every so often.
  3. Well that’s what I mean…El Ninos tend to be paltry early, and get going later. I’m wondering if he’s thinking the way it sounds, does he expect an uptick using the logic that he is?
  4. Very interesting for sure…but it could be a gorgeous pattern(if it indeed ever materializes) and still not produce much of anything as you say for our area, as has happened repeatedly for two years now. That’s always the chance we take on any pattern. Good info Tip. One would have to think, after missing on decent/good patterns so much the last couple winters, that even in the worst of stretches, the odds/law of averages at some point have to play in…another words we are due for something to break in the right direction for the area as a whole.
  5. Well according to the Pope, if we all just went by the El Niño influence, it would have been an east call up to this point. So the big question begs to be asked of him, that if we continued along his(that) way of thinking, should we expect a marked uptick in winter weather, now that we are about to embark on February, when El Niños usually start to make up ground in New England? I’m wondering how he feels about that idea?
  6. Nah, if that happens burn em down…burn em all the F Down.
  7. This is what I mean…some of the stuff is laughable. That was my point. Sure feathers are gonna melt or sublimate. But as you said a girth pack ain’t melting much at all on Feb 15th as was said..and they even went so far as to say NNE too.
  8. Yes…but that’s not a problem for winter activities, and it doesn’t mean we don’t have good snow cover in February in good/seasonable patterns. Folks love to exaggerate.
  9. It’s absolutely sickening. Delusional might be an understatement. It’s January 30th…you have folks talking as if it’s March 30th. Hate to break it to these Einsteins, but you live in SNE, winter may suck currently, but nobody is basking in 65-70 degrees for months yet(maybe by late May..if we’re fortunate). Folks think because there’s no snow, it’s just gonna miraculously warm up by mid February….delusional beyond belief.
  10. Hoping you guys score some on Thursday, hoping to be back by mid February.
  11. Some of These people are just completely out of their gord. Now we have people saying snow melts as quickly as it stops in mid February…WTF? Who the heck are these dummies? And they have the nerve to say it happens in NNE too. This place is a complete f’n dumpster fire. Lots of utter worthless and untrue BS.
  12. Agreed. So Moving on let’s hope we can do better for the second half of winter. It’d Be hard for some to do any worse…so there’s that. I’m at 11” on the year…let’s see where we end up by the last flakes.
  13. No I’m not Kevin. I average about 50”…and I’ve done it before. Nobody is saying it’s easy, but it’s not impossible, there’s proof that it’s happened. It sucks, and it ain’t fun, but we’ve recovered from no snow in December before. So that’s all I’m gonna say on this. And lol about November snow too….the average for most of SNE in November is pathetically low.
  14. This is “generally” not a fact. Sometimes it can. Sometimes it means nothing. If we capitalized on the good patten of late, it wouldn’t mean jack shit.
  15. No. It’s just been some bad luck/bad timing. We had a period where we’d pull snow out of any old set up, no matter how bad. It’s just the way the pieces are/aren’t coming together. Pretty much as simple as that. Good/great pattern’s just aren’t producing. It’s our turn in the shit box the last couple years. It’ll change again, just gotta wait it out.
  16. It’s better here so far than last year…but I know some spots it’s worse so far. But this will almost definitely finish better here than last year. So it may Rat, but it will be less so than last year for my location. I need about an inch or so to beat last year, I think I’ll do that with all of February to go yet and half of March.
