  1. Notice I said “pure”. Of course it can be warm. But we’ve had plenty cool too(especially early month). The only point is it can/and does many times take a long while to truly(sustainably) warm up around here in the spring.
  2. June was never a pure summer month since I’ve been alive (55 yrs old) here in SNE.
  3. Lol the 6z GFS was a hugger. Throw a dart blindfolded at this point.
  4. What sucks up here in SNE, is that even when the snow threats disappear by the end of March(for the most part), we still have like a good 6 weeks(sometimes more) of mostly crap weather here. Oh sure, we’ll get a few days of 65-75 here and there, but it never lasts long(except spring of 12), then we’re back to destructive sunshine and 45-53 degrees, with showers and damp and cold, with BD’s killing us. So I get the sentiment of if it’s not going to snow…then let’s just look for nicer weather and end winter now. But even if that happened, we’re not heading into a particularly nice stretch of weather for our area of the country, when winter does end. So wishing it over, and looking for sustainable nice mild weather is far away for us here in early February.
  5. Sustained warmth. It sucked for weeks after that. And that high was still 9 weeks from now anyway.
  6. I agree with you about getting away and enjoying some good winter activities, does the soul good. Too much time here is detrimental for sure. Gotta limit time here, when there’s nothing happening. Unfortunately, it’s gonna be months before any sustained warmth is really here for SNE. That’s the harsh reality unfortunately when it’s still February 5th. We got late March through April of misery mist and 45 degrees.
  7. Lots of broken weenies….they may never heal. But I agree, it’s a week out and right before any possible changing, so gotta expect large variability just from the time span of a week alone. And also the fact that things will be starting to shuffle at that point. But you know, if the OP runs don’t show big snows…it’s all bad. And even when they do, they tell you to sell lmao.
  8. Lol…if the pattern changes, it’ll be a while yet, especially being it’s 2/4.
  9. 18z…that’s all that needs to be said. Joke off hr runs period.
  10. Ahh who cares at this lead, it’s a 9 day prog lol. Pattern change is just setting in at that point. Ride anything at your own risk at 9 days. We were Just talking ver batim on that particular run.
  11. 55(55-56) had 11.2” from Nov to February 12. Then it flipped big time from Feb12-May 1 according to that chart with 58”.
  12. Ya, I don’t know what Brett was looking at? There was a good cold airmass there on that depiction. He still drunk from his vacation in N. Conway.
  13. Yes…I wax thinking of those two as well. Hey, as you said and I feel the same way, let’s hope we can grab a few opportunities and capitalize on them. If we can, it’ll take a lot of this current sting away some.
  14. Awesome. Looks very good. Sounds like you’re liking your new machine. That’s a beautiful thing. My buds went up Thursday to our cabin in Sinclair/Cross lake, and rode out to River De Loop on the St Lawrence in Quebec. They stayed overnight at Hotel Levesque, and rode/looped back to N Maine yesterday. They said it was fabulous. Was bummed I couldn’t make it this go around(work responsibilities), but I’ll get up again soon. Your pictures looked great.
  15. Yes, as you know these new suspensions are most impressive now a days. Newer Sleds can vacuum up alot of nastiness that used to be lousy trail conditions. But if the trails get really whooped out, then it can still be tough. But if clubs keep up on things, and temps stay cool, that kind of crap doesn’t happen all too often in the areas where clubs are on top of things.
  16. I’d lean that way too…but just being cautious still. It’s getting closer now, and things still looking good, but we gotta see the “Whites of its eyes.”
  17. Yup..I agree. Let’s just get the potential change here first, before we worry about any such nuances.
  18. Weenies bickering about Suppression and how long any flip can last, and we don’t even know if a concerted flip will even happen yet. Plus Things seem to trend north most times anyways, so suppression is the last thing I’d be worried about at this stage here in SNE/CNE.
  19. Estcourt Station. It’s ironic that they call it the Big Twenty Township..when it only incorporates two townships lol. Estcourt Station has like 4 people, that is one remote area.
  20. It ended well though(83-84)..had a couple nice snowstorms in mid and late March…that changed the tenor around nicely.
  21. That’s nice to hear…let’s hope some of that potential is realized this go around.
