  1. Snowfall events for CT. We are at a total of 7 right now. EDIT:9..added the last two
  2. yay. its about that time. hopefully its GL...
  3. Not sure if this is the best place for this. But here is the STD snowfall for CT. Thanks for all the reports.
  4. 12Z GEFS probs went up quite a bit across the board. 1/3/6/12 shown. (FYI i just posted the Season To Date snowfall for CT in the snowstorm memories page, as well as all the event maps to date)
  5. Nice tick NW on the GFS16. Good to see the H5 SW sharper and dig a little deeper. Stronger SLP. Overall system looks a lot healthier run-to-run. We take.
  6. i tend to think of it like the Global NAM
  7. probably the highest in CT. Maybe Union a bit higher with that 10" amount from Dec 5th but we have no reliable reporting from up there.
  8. Agree 100%. Just to be clear, i said "in the cards"...def not my forecast or what im expecting atm. We're going in the right direction today and thats what matters right now. I'm becoming a real fan of the GFS16 this winter (Dec 16-17, Feb 1-2) and looking back at the past 4 runs or so its had the least dramatic swings at the sfc and H5 from other models ive seen. (Real quick plug, im working on updating the season-to-date snowfall map in CT, so this is for anyone who hasnt updated their new england snow page @Damage In Tolland @tavwtby @CT Valley Snowman @RUNNAWAYICEBERG @metagraphica @H2Otown_WX that would be very helpful to get it done. ty)
  9. That's a nice panel that wxbell doesnt have, thanks
  10. 12/18/00/06 EPS Lots of spread to the NW on the latest run.
  11. a solid swath of 6-10 is in the cards though for SNE, and another day-timed event for most i dont think anyone will be complaining with that
  12. Solid bump NW on the 6Z EPS as we expected. Good to see. Now we need this to continue at 12Z
  13. 00Z EPS wasnt great but there were a few N members in that. About 6-8 adv level or higher hits vs almost nothing on the 18Z EPS
  14. This season feels like 00-01..big boys only. Now we just need a Mar 4-6 01 repeat
  15. I wasnt around but i know North Haven had the Jackpot of the whole Northeast at 30" for Jan 11-12 2011
  16. THAT KICKS LIKE A MULE WITH HIS BALLS WRAPPED IN DUCT TAPE
  17. Thank you. Yeah i used to just use all shades of blue but it got very hard to see the towns when the colors got really dark. I figured i would parallel the colors that the NWS uses, more or less. Its easier on the eyes and makes more sense. The color gradient is generally (example): 0 white, T-2 light blue (sub advisory lvl), 2-4 blue (advisory), 4-8 yellow (low end warning) 8-12 orange (warning), 12-18 redish pink (amounts 10+, major), 18-24 purple (amounts over 15 historic/major), green 24-40+ (extreme, rare) This is Mar 2018, an example of why i changed the colors after the blue shade...
  18. Final snowfall totals for Feb 1-2 2021 blizzard. Made a couple new county graphics, because why not. All reports taken from here, PNS, Cocorahs and the NWS 72hr snowfall map. Most of the state ended up right in the range of 10-18" of the final call forecast with one report of +18" (19 in Danbury) and a small hole over southern Tolland and Windham counties of 6-10". Positive General 10-18" statewide verified Highest amounts in Fairfield county as noted by the text in the final call graphic Some mixing in SE CT as noted in the text in the final call graphic as well as lower end of the range Negative Small 6-10 hole over NE CT was not forecast Overall very happy with how everything went with the forecast, couldn't really ask for much better. Grade: A-
  19. BOX just updated their PNS. Some low totals coming out of Tolland county, thats a shame
  20. Did i miss anyone here? Scrolled through the last 12 pages and this is what i could find. thanks to everyone who sent a report.
